An honest comparison

The "Avg. deaths of a shooting rampage" hinges on response time. Cops usually aren't called until the first bodies hit the floor. Then it's a scramble for mobilization from wherever they are to the incident. An armed citizen at the scene of the shooting can react within seconds, especially a responsibly armed citizen who diligently trains with his or her weapon. One who has faced the question of whether he or she can pull the trigger with the intent to kill BEFORE the incident requiring action. If you're carrying a lethal weapon and you haven't had that conversation with yourself, haven't solidly resolved yourself to action, then you need to do it. NOW. TODAY.

Isometrics, duh

As Nancy McBotox says, the budget is cut to the bone

God knows, they can't do without their special Congressional Elevator Button Pushers. God forbid they actually push their own damn buttons, or have one of their minions do it. Senate elevator button pushers: $1.2 Million. The salary of the most senior button pusher? $210,000 a year. Pissed yet?

Password Hell

I have 3 passwords I rotate. And I still forget if I don't log into something at least twice a week. Thanks to Terry from FL for the funny.

Rest in Peace: Tom Clancy

Clancy reportedly died last night in a Baltimore hospital after a "brief illness".  I have thoroughly enjoyed his work and he will be missed.

The Greatest Generation vs. The Great Fraud

Really? Obama is going to set his thugs on WWII vets who dare defy him and go to see THEIR memorial in DC? REALLY????

He says they are considering going ahead with the trip even if the government is still on shutdown, but when he called the parks service, he was told they would face arrest. “I said, are you kidding me? You’re going to arrest a 90/91-year-old veteran from seeing his memorial? If it wasn’t for them it wouldn’t be there. She said, ‘That’s correct sir.’”
When Armstrong asked for her name, he says she did not give it to him and then promptly hung up the phone.
