My Two Cents on III Citadel

Disclosure: I have invested in III Arms, proudly.

I am so new to the Patriot community that you can literally hear the wet dripping behind my ears. Shhhh.... listen. Hear it? I've always had these beliefs, that America was exceptional, that it was our responsibility to protect and nurture that exceptionalism, that rugged individualism and self-reliance were key concepts and that it could all easily vanish if Liberty wasn't guarded by every Patriot. Last spring,  I found a mentor, I found fellow Patriots, I found a home.

Now, people I've never heard of are attacking people I've come to know and care about deeply. People who apparently call themselves Patriots, but are so unimportant that I've never heard of them, never read a word of their rants, would never know they exist except for their attacks on people I consider friends and mentors. So what's a person to do? In order to make an informed decision, I read a couple of the posts at Sipsey Street Irregulars to get an idea of who this person is and what his beef  is with Mr. Kerodin and the Citadel
.
You know what? I still don't understand.

I have never understood the mentality of negative people. Life is too short to live like that. Mr.Vanderbough obviously doesn't like Mr. Kerodin or the Citadel. Fine. Don't become involved. Walk away. Very simple. But to go on and on with repetitive negativity, I just don't get the point. Nobody is forcing him to participate, contribute, endorse or even write about it; but he seems obsessed. And that's just not healthy.

Now what I know about Mr. Kerodin and Mr. Miller and everyone I've met who are involved in III Arms and the Citadel. Every single one of them took time to answer my questions without treating me like a silly woman. I was taken seriously, I was offered education and support. Not a single person, least of all Mr. Kerodin, tried to hide any of the negative aspects of his past from me. Everything was on the table. Not a single person used strong-arm persuasion tactics, or greasy used car salesman tactics, when presenting the III Arms plan and the Citadel. It was very matter of fact. This is what we plan to do, this is how we plan to do it. In? Great. Not in? No problem. Not one person had a negative thing to say until the attacks started popping up.

It seems all of the attacks and bitterness are flowing from one direction. And it seems that the impetus is the creation of III Arms and the Citadel. Why? Why in the world would any Patriot have a problem with other Patriots banding together to build something positive? At best, there should be well wishes; and at the worst, a peaceful parting of the ways. If we're walking a path that's not for you, we don't belittle your choice. Why do you feel the need to belittle ours? If you don't agree with us, fine. Shut up and leave us alone. We really don't need your approval to succeed.

I have no need for negative people in my life. I tend to cut them lose very quickly and walk away. But when they persist in inserting themselves where they don't belong and aren't welcome, I get very frustrated. God and my fellow Patriots know I'm not the type to fight idiots. I hate stupid conflicts. But when my friends are attacked, I will make a stand. So, I'm a Patriot, I'm a III Arms Founding Member, I'm proudly standing with my fellow Patriots. And as insignificant and new as I am in the III community and blogging, I'm adding my voice. Come get me.

  5. Sounds you did some vetting there Angel...

  6. I vetted as much as I could, tripseven. It came down to the same choice as any investment, do I believe enough to roll the dice? And yeah, I definitely believe.

I'm also not silly enough to think that, in spite of how quickly III Arms came together, that the Citadel will just magically pop out of the Idaho ground as soon as it thaws. There is still planning to be done and work to do.

Are we where we WANT to be? Not yet, but we're closer than we were yesterday. And closer than we would have been if we'd never started.

Have faith and work your ass off.

  7. looks like the citadel wants a handout from our county (incentives) LOL & I was right about where their 20 acres is at. Its only serviced by a logging road & the road is closed for 4 months of the year. Clueless people. This was in todays paper

  8. Razor, do you have the link? I'd really like to read it. Or just give me the name of the paper.

As far as the "handout", counties around here generally give tax breaks to businesses that promise to move in, hire locals, raise the tax base, etc. Is it for the Citadel, or for the proposed III Arms factory that's going in BEFORE the Citadel?

  9. "County property records show that III Arms Co, LLC of Meridian, Idaho bought 20 acres at the head of Cherry Creek in October. The property is served by a logging road and is not accessible during winter months." I swear Im going to wet my fucking pants I laughing so hard. Build a factory on a fucking logging road. I need a diaper excuse me

  10. Tell me Razor, what conditions and physical improvements did the settlers find in Idaho when they first settled there in the early 1800s? Did Louis and Clark cross into Idaho and go "Hey look, Sacajawea, Boise has a Bed, Bath and Beyond! And here you said it was uninhabitable!"

Dude, people have been settling in uninhabitable places for eons. Just because there's a mining road, means no other roads will be allowed?

    ReplyDelete
  11. No you cant add other roads up there. Theres a reason its closed in the winter. And parts of it goes thru land owned by the Forestry Dept.

Proponents say they have purchased what they describe as a "beachhead" here in Benewah County. The 20-acre parcel will be used "to build a Showcase for the Citadel, complete with a scaled Curtain Wall, condos, houses, the initial factory for III Arms Company, and more."
Im sorry How did you say you were going to get there? I know we'll helicopter everything in.

Build a showcase...HAHHAHAH oh dear God. I hope your "investment pays off for you

  12. My investment was in III Arms, and I'm comfortable with it. Thanks.

  13. Yes but Lewis & Clark were not building a showcase with condos, homes, gun plant. In the middle of fricking now where. And yes Boise has a BB&Y uhh Boise is 9 hrs south :)

  14. My point being, Razor, that if people only did the easy thing, there wouldn't BE a Boise. You've made your feelings very clear. We'll agree to disagree.

Besides, if they succeed, it's nothing to you, if they fail, it's nothing to you. So why are you so invested?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Im invested as a human. People are so desperate for something. Either here or someplace else. & people like the Citadel are preying on peoples desperation for safety from SHTF. And the citadel and its people are promising/scaming something that will never be developed here or anywhere, without backing from Warren Buffet. Your talking 10's of millions of dollars. And your going to make that selling/building guns from millers basement? I wish I could upload pics here I'll go up there on my snow machine and show you the area.

  16. I wonder how many people who achieved great things against overwhelming odds were too stupid to know they couldn't do that?

Again, time lines. No one is expecting it to be done NOW, THIS MONTH, THIS YEAR.

  17. Razor...if you have no skin in the game, why on earth would you give a rats ass what they do or where they do it?

All I would ever say to anyone in this regard is to vet them before climbing in bed with III Arms, Citadel or ANY OTHER business with something for sale. It doesn't take critical thinking to know that snake oil is the name of the game in advertisement. Go ahead and buy that diamond ring online through Craigslist and see what you end up with...

  18. So the citadel blog says "breathe" We can answer anymore of your comments/questions.
    "were only volunteers"
Kinda odd that the paypal window didnt take a breather huh? I would be willing to bet my 88 acre ranch when this is all said & done some turds behind the citadel "project" will be in prison. Our district atty. Doug Payne is no idiot. Your taking peoples money. Promising things that you know are impossible without an act of GOD. Building condos homes a gun factory on a parcel you can get to unless the loggers keep it open thru logging. What fucking planet are you folks living on??? That called FRAUD! I will do my part to expose this.

  21. Rasor,
I like you, but I don't know you from Adam. I don't know what your agenda is and why you feel compelled to wage your crusade here. I have already asked that we agree to disagree on this. I won't change your mind, and this isn't your blog. If you really feel this strongly, start your own. I'm not going to let you use mine as your soapbox.

    This^, in a nutshell.

  25. Here's the thing. From what I've read you must be self sufficient on necessities for your self and family for a year if living in The Cidital. Sounds too me like being at the end of a road thats hard to get through is a feature, not a bug. I'm not a member of this group, nor do i think I will ever have the chance to. That being said, I applaud them for doing something when most of what I feel the rest of the nation is doing is talking. I wish them the best in their endeavors, and hopefully, I'll scrape up the funds to buy one of their guns. They look solid and instead of funding a "big business" I'd rather fund like minded patriots. Also, all the noise I hear is from those bad mouthing the project thats based on "leave us alone" principals. HWA said it with more class, but I'll take WireCutters "Fuck you" for this...

  26. First off...I'm not selling anything to anyone "pal!" I don't live there and have no interest in doing so.

Second...nice factual evidence to support your claims Razor...NOT!

Third...you don't own that county, the people do! You know, like the people of Citadel. Therefore you have absolutely no business telling them or anyone else where to put up shop.

Fourth...you're barking in the wrong place. Try your state and county officials. Jesh, what planet are you from, Uranus?!?

    Fifth...wha wha wha!

  28. Razor,
Posted this after reading, and I have a question. Isn't is a bit contradictory to criticize people for not immediately building on ground that you criticized them for buying because it's currently impassible? I mean, yeah, nothing's going on NOW because of the snow.
The sheriff seemed neutral to me. I have a wait and see attitude, too. I'm not going to condemn something that hasn't started yet.
    Angel

    ReplyDelete
  29. Angel, you dont understand. You cant build on that piece of land. Its inaccessible. Knowing selling something that cant not be fulfilled is a fraud. Thats why the Sheriff said If you want to throw away 200 bucks go ahead. The citadel guys bought this 20 acres I bet because it was all they could afford. This is a worthless peice a ground. Why do you think nobody else bought it to live on?

    Razor in the Benewah

    ReplyDelete
  30. Then why was someone allowed to sell it to be built on? Isn't that fraud?

    ReplyDelete
  31. You can build on whatever the hell you want up here. Theres places up here where folks have summer cabins,There dry (no water) run on generators, have an out house, then they leave in the winter because the roads get cut off. Thats what the citadel property is. There is no way in or out for 4 months. And logging road up hear means 4 wheel drives only. Your guys from the east coast dont know anything about this land. I know your looking for other answers and facts. I hope they dont come from the States Atty. General.

    Razor in the Benewah

  32. Razor,
Seriously, enough. I do appreciate your zeal in this, but enough. I have a very laissez faire attitude. Nobody is saying it's going to be easy, and people who are looking to invest have the responsibility to fully investigate before investing. In anything. Ever. You can't hold the world's hand, Razor, no matter how much you want to. And people who NEED their hands held and be told what to do and what not to do, generally don't hang out with the III Patriot crowd. They're all over at HuffPo.
And call me "east coast" again, and I'll blow your kneecaps off. I'm from Texas. Texan, dammit.
