Just listening to the post-Super Bowl commercial breakdown. And thoroughly disgusted. The "expert" stated the reason the ad featuring Paul Harvey's voice failed is because Paul Harvey doesn't mean anything to the target demographic, men ages 18-34 and women ages 20-36. On the other hand, according to this idiot, the Jeep ad featuring Oprah Winfrey's voice was hugely successful because her voice is recognizable and synonymous with American Excellence. It was at this point that blood started shooting from my eyes, the remote went sailing through the air towards the tv (thank God I throw like a girl), and I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that we need to claim our kids. We may have lost the last generation to the Socialists, but these kids coming up? They're ours.
WE need to be their primary source of education.
WE need to be their source of cultural indoctrination.
WE need to be their guides into the future of the United States of America.
NOT the lamestream media. Not Oprah, or Snooki, or the Kardashians. Not any Liberal in DC, New York or Los Angeles.
Introduce your children to REAL Americans, from the Founding Fathers to those few left in current modern culture. And I would include Paul Harvey in that group.

I miss Paul Harvey. Todays younger generations have no idea about REAL patriotism. The fascists democrats have them brainwashed that patriotism is make the rich pay their fair share. My children are grown now, and I did my best to teach them love of country and patriotism. I think it took, despite the efforts of my ex-wife, a filthy disgusting liberal poisoning their minds with liberal garbage. Did I say I missed Paul Harvey?
ReplyDeleteThat farmer commercial was the best, don't even need to see the rest. Talk about Jekyll and Hyde though - the same company advertised the other brand with Oprah. Go figure.
ReplyDeleteEven after his death Paul Harvey still can bring a tear to my eye. One of the greats.
ReplyDeleteMy days are kind of dull without his voice anymore.
Steve, just like Obama, they talk out of both sides of their mouth. Or ass in Barrys case.
ReplyDeleteIn my earlier years, I used to work late driving a Van. Paul Harvey would come on and he was always a pleasant companion on my long nights...
ReplyDeleteLoved Paul until the day he did a segment on Jimmah Carturd. Back then I thought he was promoting the moron. Now I look back and think he was just telling us why his peanut fueled brain is fried. He was a good listen for many a year.
ReplyDeleteComing from a loooong line of farmers, that spot was my favorite part of the evening.
ReplyDeletePaul Harvey was at his best when he helped get Randy Weaver out of that cabin alive.
