This song and video started me on my love affair with boots. And cleavage. She died today at the age of 53 from breast cancer and multiple sclerosis. Ladies, love your boobs; get regular mammograms and do monthly self-exams. Dudes, love your women enough to see they follow through. And remember, it has been scientifically proven that squeezing breast tissue prevents and in some cases halts tumors. Give 'em a good old squeeze.
Self-exams are good. But mammograms expose the breasts to low dosage radiation which can have a negative cumulative effect over time. Add that to the synthetic estrogen that is often prescribed to women at the same time that mammograms are recommended and you have seriously increased the risk for breast cancer. Additionally, a mammogram is only as effective as the technician reading the scan. And they have notoriously bad records for missing what is there and seeing what isn't.
Why no I don't trust the medical profession. How did you know?
If it weren't for mammograms my wife would most likely be DEAD today. It was not an easy road for her but cancer free for 8 years now. So, no I don't agree with Adam. Terry Fla.

Thank you Miss Lisa. Early detection was the key. Still has the girls and lymph nodes but had to do lumpectomy, radiation and chemo.
ReplyDeleteI repeat - early detection.
