Talking to some of the "new moms" in the Summer Respite Group, 20-35 year olds unanimously hold this opinion. Also, no one needs an AR-15 "automatic military killing gun", no one needs more than 5 bullets (That's what revolvers hold, right? That's all anyone should have. ~facepalm~), and the world would be safer if only the police had guns. After I was tranqued and peeled off the ceiling, I found this in my inbox. And now, I'm beyond pissed.
You should ask those mothers this question: "Do you think your five shot revolver is any match for a fifteen-man mob who wants to gang rape you?"
ReplyDeleteSon, not a single one of those mothers carries and they all think I'm beyond crazy for carrying. They asked me at the first meeting to not carry my Sig, it made them nervous. I basically told them the first one who could disarm me could make that decision. They don't like me much, but I'm the one with all the resources. And the kick-ass recipes.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if this will help.Remember you are still from TEXAS!
ReplyDeleteWhat is a Summer Respite Group?
ReplyDeleteWas this in Texas? WTF? Yankees?
Deport their asses back up nawth.
If they are Texans do their daddies know about this shit?

Half of them are transplants. Three of them are anchor babies. And the rest are brain dead.
ReplyDeleteParents of special needs kids get together in the summer and help watch each others' kids so you can run to town for errands for a couple of hours. It's impossible to go shopping with some of these little guys in tow, and childcare for them is hard to find and very expensive. So if you put in 6 hours at the respite center, you get 6 hours of care for your kids.
ReplyDeleteGood purpose for the group. Again you show what a good person your being a member. Tell the brain dead ones one of your readers suggested telling their daddies.

Yeah, its these "head in the sand" types who still believe that Obummer did no wrong and is the best thing to ever happen to this country blah blahblah. And as much as I'd like to see their eyes opened, the only way that's going to happen will involve an act of violence that I wouldn't wish on anybody.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget Angel, "Ignorance is bliss" and it appears as though they qualify for the qualification.
ReplyDeleteSo many thoughts here, so little beer.
ReplyDeleteStay calm and quiet dear heart.
I know that dealing with the masses is infuriating. You may feel like you're trying to teach pigs to roller skate. There might be one or two who are curious and eventually approach you with questions. You need to be approachable. They don't like you?
Respect is better, earn it by being the most mature and productive member.
rpm, I think it's more a generational thing, and I'm a bit more intense about some things.
ReplyDeleteHeh... new lady cutting my hair yesterday felt like commenting about recent killings in Arlington. She thought it was because there are too many guns.... interesting conversation ensued. I was afraid that I would end up bald :)
ReplyDeleteI am with you, "When you can take it away from me you can have it". I like that one. As a southern male I often don't know what to say when females go all "silly bitch" and suddenly become stupid, I'm not used to it.---Ray
ReplyDeleteThe cartoon does express the current lack of concern expressed by most sheep, uh, I mean Americans, concerning the loss of another freedom.
ReplyDeleteProblem is do you really want a bunch of unarmed sheep watching your precious cargo...
ReplyDeleteI have discussions like that with my own damn siblings. All of which should KNOW better. I applaud your ability to not go ballistic on the morons, as I just no longer have the patience for that.Ya just can't fix stupid, so I just won't bother trying.
ReplyDeleteNext to welfare whores, imported socialists & dead people who end up on vote tallies, soccer moms are what is wrong with this country. Too many suburban, NEA-educated women that really think infringements on liberty are "for the children."
ReplyDeleteMost people don't care if they didn't pay for it" Blood of Patriots and Tyrants alike"
ReplyDeleteThe time span that the general masses
have had to hurt is generational now
And stupid breeds stupid
Angel, it's not a generational thing, I fall in that demographic age wise and I probably would have spouted off at them. And continued to carry. It's a using your brains, thinking for yourself, and caring about this country and the freedoms we have that SHOULDN'T be infringed upon. Too many have been sucking at the gov't teat for too long, even if it just through the public education system, to know or understand how to think for themselves. I see it a lot out my way. "Gov't should help us do everything, keep us safe, not make us worry about life, etc." They don't realize they pay for gov't one way or another, and can't figure out why gov't shouldn't be allowed to run their lives since they let it in this far. This is also the same group who thinks that we don't need guns for protection. Pssssh! Funny how you can get them to agree guns were necessary 'in olden times' but that now guns are outdated because someone else can do it. Again, same group of people that are so disconnected from their food source. It all goes together.
ReplyDeleteKeep being you Angel, you're a breath of fresh air amidst all the stupid out there. Keep calling it like it is.
