These are toooooo cool. I'm not much for jewelry, not really a Diamond Girl (I prefer pearls for numerous reasons). But should I ever find myself with a new wedding ring, I couldn't imagine anything cooler than these.

"Spark" Flint and Steel ring set |
I bought my wife a string of fresh water pearls made in the 1910s?-20s? it seven feet long with a blue pearl every sixth pearl--Like the 1/2 carrot Diamond ring I got for our 20th ,she never puts 'em on. I gave her jewelry for years, but she allways puts on kitch. She says hospitals are the last place on earth to take real jewelry.---Ray
ReplyDeleteVery cool. I have a flea market purchased 'worry ring' that I removed the 'spinner' and replaced it with G.I. trip wire, about 36" in length. Handy stuff that - strong repairs, that sort of thing. That ring pictured above would fit in well with the concept - something you can carry with you always.
ReplyDeleteI have been known to wear pearls with jeans.
ReplyDeleteMust...refrain...from...tasteless...pearl...necklace...joke...
ReplyDeleteIf that's a suitor's bent, and the best he can do...PASS.
ReplyDeleteDepends on the suitee - he / she can take it for 'I CARE ENOUGH TO GIVE YOU TOOLS TO KEEP YOU ALIVE' - I'll take giftys like that over a neck tie ANY DAY!
ReplyDeleteI carry a magnesium rod w/ striker on my vehicle key chain. Distracting when driving over road that makes it hit against steering column. But I've used it several times to get a fire going when I forget my Bic (ex smoker - gave it up 16 years ago) and one time, I REALLY NEEDED A FIRE TO STAY WARM.
Hell yeah, fire is life.
