And what all is actually IN those vaccines? Never liked them...I ALWAYS get the flu from them. News always likes to trot out the fact that something like 20 people died from N1H1 last year....and ignore the fact that somewhere in the vicinity of 3000-5000 people die from the regular flu annually (I looked it up on CDC a year or so ago, don't recall the exact number). So why, again, do I *need* to get this vaccine?
I say we go back a coup!e hundred years to a time before modern medicine.....so that all those who are so absoluteleffing sure they are right and the millions of man hours of research by people with PhD's in the sciences are wrong can experience FIRST HAND what a world without vaccines and modern medicine is REALLY like.
Dan, don't get hysterical and make me slap you. No one is saying you can't vaccinate the holy shit out of your kids. We're just saying we'd like the freedom to make that choice for ours. And as the meme says, our unvaccinated kids would be no threat to your vaccinated kids if the vaccines really work. Right?
Evidently achieving PHD status renders you inflexable and unable to accept that honest to God, you might just not know all that there is to know. And they will make sure to tell ya so.
Well there is the herd theory of vaccination. The way it works is that viruses and bacteria mutate constantly. So you are recommended to get a shot every year to keep up with the current state of affairs. People that don't get the shot, and unvaccinated kids, are more likely statistically to get the illness, and act as incubators for the mutation of the disease vectors. In addition, vaccines are not perfect bulletproof shields for disease. A vaccinated person's immune system is their whole defense against infection. Exposure to too many people who are sick can overload the immune system of a healthy host and even vaccines will not help in that case. This creates a statistical and detectable increase in illness even among the vaccinated population. I don't care if you vaccinate your kid or yourself. Just giving you information you can use or discard as you like.
I'm perfectly willing to accept that some folks are foolish enough to refuse to vaccinate their children. I'm also amused by the fact that these same people will vaccinate their dogs and cats without arguing.
But what non-vaccinating parents need to realize is that their non-vaccinated kids are not welcome to mingle with the children of civilized parents. I certainly don't want my 6yo picking up Rubeola from a Luddite, and while his vaccinated immune system is fighting it off, he brings it home to infect and kill his 6 week old baby brother.
I'm sure you can see why I'd have a problem with that.
So let's compromise. I'll respect your foolishness without complaint and not force a vaccine on you, and you respect my realistic concern, also without complaint, and keep your child quarantined at home.
And no, Harbqll, I have no problem with you quarantining a sick child. That's common sense. But isolating a healthy child because of your paranoia is a bit much.
Wow, so Doctor Hairball thinks that only children that are vaccinated with the products of a totally corrupt pharmaceutical system are civilized? Really? Have you ever investigated just how various "products" are approved by the $$$$$FDA? And you trust the same people that lie to us about everything under the sun? Are you civilized, or brainwashed? Are you sure?
Also remember that the germ / virus spread can be done by the vaccinated children as well. I also note that when donating blood, I am asked if I have had recent immunizations for Anthrax - there some danger there for the blood recipients ? I guess there is or the question would not be raised.
I agree with above - I look at TV commercials with lawyers suing various pharmaceuticals of 'miracle drugs' which weren't apparently so great.
Ve can not tolerate ze non complience!!!!Your children may spread ze disease of thinking for yourself. Nein!!

Deal?.
Huh, herd mentality, that explains a lot.
