Happy, Texas: The Town Without a Frown. Just a ways down the road from where I grew up is the sleepy little town of Happy, full of characters. I'd like to introduce you to one of them. The story is told from the point of view of some Hollywood yahoo who just doesn't get us. But the picture tells the best part of the story.
The comments are pretty good, too.
My second ex was legally blind, but can drive a car, and shoot a gun.
ReplyDeleteOdessa. City of Dreams...
ReplyDeleteSo Sumdood parked in front of her driveway, blocking it. She told them to move. They walked off, laughing. I think she showed remarkable restraint in the fact that the sheriff didn't show up with a tow-truck to haul Sumdood's buckshot-and-slug-riddled vaguely-car-shaped hunk of useless metal off to the scrapyard. Frikkin Hollywood types.
ReplyDeleteShe should have just shot the car instead because blocking ANY driveway is a shooting offense (or ought to be).
ReplyDeleteMaybe she is waiting for Meals On Wheels to deliver. Maybe she is waiting for medical supplies to come in. Or maybe she just wants HER driveway clear and who is to argue against that ?
I would have taken my trusty bayonet and flattened all the tires.
