Today's the day!

Well, it looks like I'll get my 1 millionth hit today, and I'm just stunned speechless. Shut up, it can happen.

When I started this at the behest of wirecutter (who got tired of banning me from his blog on a daily basis), I promised myself I'd give it a few months. I had no expectations of a large readership, I had no expectations of meeting so many awesome people. Ironically, I started on a Sunday; November 11, 2012. Shee-it. Sixteen months and a handful of days. Time flies when you're having a psychotic episode.

Here's a quick glance back at my first post HERE. If you'll note, one of the things I looked forward to was the chance to ban wirecutter for a change. Hasn't happened, just don't have the guts. He has, ironically, tried to ban me from my own blog. Bastard. I did have my revenge, or a tragic lapse in judgment, HERE. It is my second most popular post of all time with 2719 pageviews and 75 comments. Forgive me, wirecutter, you know I love you and have the utmost respect for you. And I'd also like to remind you that WiscoDave made me do it.

Y'all have been by my side through some rough times in my life, giving me love and acceptance and a good kick in the pants when needed. You've become friends, family, TRIBE. I wake up looking forward to checking in with y'all, sharing news and laughs, laughter and tears, recipes and rants. Y'all really seem to like my rants. I know I promised to either post a pic of my tatas painted with shamrocks or my famous Guinness Bread Pudding recipe, and you voiced your preference for the GIRLS. I'm sorry, but Poppy reads my blog and threatened to paddle my ass if I so much as posted cleavage. So Bread Pudding it is. Take it up with Poppy.

Here's to another year with all y'all!

I'm told the second million is easier than the first.

  7. Damn, that is pretty impressive!
I do get a kick out of you, especially the back and forth with W.C. .
I don't know if he has ever even shown his face at my joint but trying to ban you from your own blog the other day was priceless.

  19. Maybe not with your definition of nagging, but wirecutter's definition of nagging is important to him, so I'll go with that. ;)

    Congrats :)

I seem to recall that it was myself that said we'd only see pudding, and not "puppies". Hate to say I told everybody so.......

  27. Ok - 2 dog humping stories.

I went to a military HS which had coeds. One morning as we girls and guys walked to class, there in the pathway was a pair of dogs stuck together in the most intimate of poses. The guys stared ... the girls all pretended to turn their heads. Very funny.

Second tale. We lived next door to a couple that had a full grown female Saint Bernard. We had a dachshund. But when that St. Bernard went into heat, our dachshund was right next door trying like heck, much to her amusement, to mount that St Bernard. I was sympathetic to his efforts - but still funny as all heck

Play nice. None of you are too old for a spanking.
