Berries

Planting right before a mild freeze, growing during a 60 mph/90 degree sandstorm, and being interrupted by Prom, I still managed to keep some of them alive. And bearing fruit!

Pyramid #1 almost complete.

Sun and wind burned the leaves, but there's a berry!

The plants on the east and north sides faired better.

  2. I built two of those, srv, they're at the ends of the two 4x12 foot raised beds with a third raised bed going across on the other side of the pyramids. Then I have the watermelon patch where the greenhouse used to be.

  4. Ooh, looks good! I may have to copy it. It took me 4 years to finally get a single berry off mine. Not for lack of production, but the vultures otherwise known as children kept picking all the berries!

  5. I like that planter. Tonight I planted tomatoes, cukes, sweet peppers and hot peppers.

  6. Thank you, Angel eyes! It's amazing what a redhead with power tools can do in an afternoon!

  7. Angel, that's not "treated" wood, is it? If it is, you wouldn't want to eat anything grown near it! If, however, it is cedar, then eat away!
