A $50 million contract has been awarded to BCFS (Baptist Child and Family Services) to purchase and staff the Palm Aire Resort and Hotel in Weslaco, Texas. This will be the new "summer camp" for 600 illegal aliens from the ages of 12 to 17*. You know, until they can be relocated to live with other illegal family members throughout the states while they wait to ignore their court hearings on asylum. It will be staffed by a comparable number of BCFS workers making from $10 to $45 dollars an hour. Oh, and you know there will be complaints that it isn't good enough for these darling children.

UPDATE:
As Terry from FL mentioned in the comments, BCFS backed out of the deal. WiscoDave sent the link below.
I posted this too at my spot. RIDICULOUS!!!! But hey, keep working you hard headed Texan, and keep those tax dolla-dolla bills coming in yo... I'm afraid we've been hoodwinked by Goodhair and Co... Again. He could stop this shit very easy, but he wont. He's part of the act too.
ReplyDeleteAnd you forgot to add, Weslaco is only about 10 miles away from the International Port of Entry with Progresso Mexico, so its only a hop skip and a jump away from the Mexican / U.S. border.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure pictures of this 'camp' will just encourage the refugees from coming - what a pig sty.
Jesus H Tapdancing Christ. I predict a big run on pitchforks and torch making material in the very near future...How many times are we going to take being poked in the eye by these bastards...
ReplyDeleteFollow the money. The Feds have just bought off BCFS the same way that they buy off Catholic Charities etc. Are you going to bite the hand that just fed you $50 million? And who did they buy it from? Chances are that this is a foreclosure that was sold to the Federal Reserve by a zombie bank and is on the books as non-producing real estate, not good in the accountant's eyes. So the government buys the Baptists and helps their friends at the Fed all on your dime.
ReplyDeleteNeed to boost consumer spending? Let in tens of thousands of illegals, give them EBT cards, drop them off at Walmart and Abracadabra consumer spending is up and the Fed Gov claims an economic recovery.
First thing I would do is fill in that swimming pool with dirt and cover it with astroturf. Way too much liability risk leaving it like it is. These aren't the sort of immigrant orphans who you can just bury in the desert and not worry about. Someone KNOWS where they are and will come looking for them.
ReplyDeleteRe the comment about buying the Baptists. I wondered if this was the SBC striking again so I looked at the BCFS website. I couldn't find any mention of any affiliation with any of the Baptists. Could this be like Baptist Hospital?
ReplyDeleteThe list of government orgs that they get money from is long.
If anyone finds something else please post. It could be I just missed something.

Breaking news at 4:30 EDT. They have backed out due to negative backlash.
ReplyDeleteThey must read this blog...

Maybe we should all claim to be here illegally, then the Feds will put us all up in fancy digs, feed us great food, and we won't have to work any more!
ReplyDeleteBut back to more practical matters. I still have a couple of gallons of roofing cement hanging around--that stuff would make a good substitute for tar. I also have a couple of old feather pillows I can contribute to the cause. Not to mention I can tie a noose in a rope in between 5 to 10 seconds. :-)

I hope they have plenty of chlorine in that pool given the reports of diseases and parasitical infections that are pouring over the border with the illegals (thanks for not using the PC term "unaccompanied minors" being pushed by the administration). I watched one of many such reports today from a mayor of a town in Massachusetts. She said that they shipped hundreds of teens between 14-17 years old into her town. She said they had no warning and are not getting financial assistance. Aside from disease control in the schools and the public community, they also do not have the staffing. The real kicker was language. Apparently the illegals, along with having little to no education, do not speak English OR Spanish. Instead, the mayor said they speak some "Guatemalan tribal dialect". Imagine parents who have children in that high school, knowing that their children will have a compromised quality of education, overcrowding, and presence of infectious diseases.
ReplyDeleteInsult to injury is surely adding the $3.7 billion the president wants to hand out to them as a reward for breaking the law. They are also letting them pass through TSA checkpoints without having to show ID and go through the screening as we citizens have to go through. Giving them food clothing and luxury housing as this blog illustrates, is an INSULT to the American citizens that DO legitimately need it. What happens if the hurricane season becomes active? There will be no resources left for our own displaced citizens.
One more thing. The president talks about sanctions against Russia (which is a joke). WHAT ABOUT MEXICO?! They have opened their OWN southern border to the hordes, whilst making it clear that they must make the trip north to complete their illegal crossing of the US border within 72 hours.
OK - I realize everything I have said here is nonsense. It's not about ANY of this. With this issue, as with most other things going on, the administration's REAL objective is to distract, redirect, divide and conquer. The people have been inching backwards and accepting "change" so long that most do not realize how much is lost. Once a person is either forced or coerced to give something up, rarely do they ever get it back. Especially not in the same condition it was in before it was taken away.
Looks like that plan is working.
Since all of these illegals from south of Mexico could not have made it to our border without the active assistance of Mexico - this is an act of war against us by Mexico. I have a solution - Since these "refugees" are owned by Mexico as soon as they assit them to come through their country - we should return them to Mexico. We load them all onto very large ships (about 1K per ship should do nicely) and start transporting them at about 10 ships per day to....wait for it....Cancun, where the poor "refugees" can see the resort lifestyle in the country that has enabled this problem. As soon as the tourist dollars are impacted Mexico will magically find a way to stop the wave from ever reaching our border. No charge for the brilliant plan, just my service to humanity ;^)

It also wouldn't hurt to slap a 100% tariff on all cash sent from the US to Mexico until Mexico fixed their leaky border. All proceeds can be used to fix our leaky border (BUILD the damn fence!)

I read earlier today that BCFS is ACORN re-named. I'll have see if I can find the link.
ReplyDeleteHere's where I read about ACORN and BCFS.
