WKRP was one of the biggest reasons I got into radio. I was Les Nessman, looked like Bailey, wanted to be Jennifer and run away with Dr. Johnny Fever. Enjoy.
I worked at WCRC, U of Richmond campus radio. When WKRP premiered I fell off the couch ... no lie. My folks found me between the couch and table with tears running down my face. Fortunately the episode was repeated and WKRP became a family favorite. And we all still crack up at the phrase "As God as my witness ..."
Parting shot: the Turin word is 710. A redhead goes into the parts department of her local car dealership and tells the parts guy she needs a "710 cap"..... ;)

Bailey was fucking hot.
ReplyDeleteBest.

EVER!
Great show. Best episode ever. And Wirecutter, yes Bailey was smokin!! Much better than Jennifer. By the way, Herb's wife was on NCIS the other night
ReplyDeleteHad you scored Johnny Fever now you'd have Max (70's Show).
ReplyDeleteCareful what you wish for...

I third the sentiment that Bailey was hot. It spoiled it a bit when I found out she was another stupid Lib though.
ReplyDeleteI always thought Bailey was the hot one.
