That happened so fast, the spotter couldn't have done much to begin with. Obviously the snarky comments indicate that none of you have ever done gymnastics to the level that young woman was capable of. She just missed. It hurts. Unfortunately, to be a good gymnast one has to have the attitude that if you don't crash once in awhile, you're not trying hard enough. I quit due to injuries. I'm lucky I'm not in a wheelchair now.
The little foot kick at the end.
ReplyDeleteThe girl has style.
isn't that moron standing next to her supposed to prevent that sort of landing?
ReplyDeleteAny landing you can walk away from....
ReplyDeleteNothing like the gasp from the audience during or pity applause after a crash landing....
ReplyDeleteI've done that. It hurts.
ReplyDeleteBut it REALLY hurts 5 seconds later when your nerves catch up.
Great job by the spotter too. Clearly a matched set of pro-fessionals.
ReplyDeleteGood thing she had a spotter, that could have been nasty!
