  2. While stationed in England, I clearly recall the irony of celebrating Independence Day on English soil. The base always put on a big celebration complete with fireworks.

  4. When I did a tour in Spain, our next door neighbors were Bri'ish. In November, my wife commented to the wife of the pair "Oh that's right, British don't celebrate Thanksgiving."

    Her husband retorted, "Yes we do, on July the 4th."

Look, guys and gals, we loves ya, we really do - you're our most successful colony by any measure and we want you to stay that way so you would be best advised to keep your eyes on your own ruling classes who like ours are trying to reduce you to the level of the lowest common denominator. American exceptionism is a reality, not a myth, so hang in there and don't give your deconstructionist bastards even a fraction of an inch.
