A quick grammar tutorial

  1. Angel, Please forgive my ignorance of the English language. I understand ALL the points made except the last one; why are apostrophes' not used in plural (e.g., The Smith's just installed a new swimming pool)? You are the College educated nerd in this group please help with this dilemma for an un-college educated ID10T.

  3. Okay, if the plural is also possessive, an apostrophe is used, AT THE END.
    "The local stores' operating hours have all changed."
    But many people will use an apostrophe to indicate a plural.
    Or will use an 's after a plural. "The parks's..."
