Let us briefly discuss "The 80s"

Yeah, I know, for the most part the 80s sucked music wise. But Glenn had a few memorable tunes.
One from Beverly Hills Cop:

And this one, hauntingly sad:

And what is the deal with all the sax in the 80s?!

  2. The Miami Vice original soundtrack, featuring the theme song and Glenn Frey's "Smuggler's Blues" and "You Belong to the City" (a No. 2 hit), stayed on the top of the U.S. album chart for 11 weeks in 1985, making it the most successful TV soundtrack at the time. The theme song was so popular that it also garnered two Grammy Awards in 1986.

  3. Speaking of Miami Vice, this was a great episode, Smuggler's Blues

The fifteenth episode of Miami Vice is named for the song, and incorporated it into the action.[1] Frey played a pilot in the episode

  7. So many of the artist from the 60's and 70's have passed on this month. (The Eagles formed in 67 and peaked in 77) It makes me feel old. Do y'all realize that whole "Vietnam" generation is, or soon will be, in there 70's? "Take it easy" was #1 in what, 1973! "Hotel California" turns 40? this year (1976). Long time gone. AMF Glen-see ya on the flip side. ---Ray

but everyone knows that when sex is good it is wonderful. and when it's bad, it's still pretty good.

Sorry, just an old sax player with too little sleep and a migraine.
