I hate it when I lose a bet (which is why I don't gamble). There was a time, back in the Pleistocene age, when I owned a pair of those pimp platforms. Ugly bastards, but in vogue at the time. Never wore them, as at 6'4" I would have been banging my head on every doorway and chandelier. And yeah, white don't match.
I had some hippie rocker platform shoes in the early 70s, but, hey, they were "MANLY hippie rocker platform shoes". ... as massive embarrassment sets in... My daughter gave me a hard enough time about my long hair - NO WAY she learns about the shoes.
Oh yeah, I just remembered - in the 70s we heteros wore "stacks". We didn't wear platform shoes, Elton John wore platform shoes. I lost both my ankles to the damned things, under the influence of one chemical or another. The 70s were crap, but they were light-years better than the 80s.
1)please note he is in a line by himself and is in no rush(only other guy in the pic is WAY back of him 2) I wore out so many pairs of Justin Ropers in the 70's... I had no idea there was anything else to wear but Ropers and Wranglers...
It's after easter ;)
