I read a long time ago in a book that it was the US government that re-classified the tomato as a vegetable. Something to do with trade tariffs being higher on canned vegetables than on canned fruits.
Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, salesmanship is convincing people that ketchup is a tomato smoothie, wisdom is not putting a tomato in a fruit salad, marketing is calling a tomato fruit salad Salsa.
