To be precise A young male calf is a bull calf, if left intact it grows into a bull. If castrated, a steer and in 3 or 4 years an ox (some consider it an ox only if used as a draft animal) ..A female calf is a heifer calf, then a heifer and when full grown a cow. ..I've spent WAY too many years raising them in Texas :)
a bull, at any age, when castrated, is a steer to any age (in Texas, but not to some yankees )....and all the old time cowboys would call it a sex change ...changed his mind from ass to grass...and I have been assisting with that surgery for over 50 years....
Humans aren't livestock. Although an awful lot of us act like it, with similar IQ's and desire to be cared for.
Not referring to present company: was at a local govt meeting and witnessed the mob mentality of the masses, the tyrannical nanny state of the "elites" and the backpedaling of liars called on the carpet.
Sweet Granny...where be you from? For the record, Texas does not have a monopoly on cowboy logic....it exists in many other places....and, it is absent in many more....
Whomever wrote the steer comment obviously does not know jack about cattle.
ReplyDeletewhat comment was that, Lady Grey? and just for fun, what is your livestock background?

Texas cowboy logic is an oxymoron; like military intelligence.
