The truth about "high powered" assault rifles

I saw this on Rebecca Badurina's FB page. If you recognize that name, she is the better half of Dennis of Dragon Leatherworks. And I thought, hmmm, this is factual info that I haven't heard in the great gun debates. The "high powered assault rifles" that have Liberals' little pink panties in a twist really aren't that powerful when compared to the average American hunting rifle.

The article isn't telling y'all anything you don't already know, but it's doing it in a way non-shooters can grasp. I've linked and sent this to several of my less knowledgeable relatives (*sigh*, SIL is a Seattle liberal who freaked over the pocket knives I gave the nephews for Christmas).

Contrary to what Obumbles says, words do matter. And words will change minds. Check out the link.

  2. Facts really seem to be of little interest in this, it's about control & protecting those in power.

What happened in the world to cause your SIL to freak out over a pocket knife? I've carried a pocket knife since I was 8 years old, it was not a problem...what changed?

Corporate owned main stream media has been changing "normal" for the last 50 years is what happened. Corporations control our society, they are slowly molding the new "normal".

President Eisenhower warned the American people in 1960, by 1964 they were firmly in control.

  3. Rob is like me. 8 yrs. old. You should see what I carry now! Good grief! My sis came back from Switzerland and gave all her nieces and nephews Swiss army knives. Two hours later, I had to do triage one one of them because one of them cut the other. No big deal, but they all know now, that brand new Swiss army knives are sharp as hell! Kids. I'm amazed I survived that stage in life.

    1. You guys! I started to try to figure out how old I was when I got my first pocket knife
7 or8 was the best guess for me. Until recently I was carrying 4 knives. Now just 3 and a leatherman multitool.Never been without at least one knife. Seldom without a gun when not at work. I have not become afraid in old age, just wiser.

    "non-violent martial arts".

  10. It was never about facts. It's about "Feelings". Every argument plays on emotion which is even easier to manipulate than facts.

  11. Well, as soon as they ban the "high powered assault rifles", then they'll turn around and start working to start banning "high powered sniper rifles" like the .30-06, .308, 7mm mag, etc.
