Protecting the protectors

Wirecutter has the deets over at his place. Just going to add my two cents. I live in RURAL Texas. We have maybe 12 total law enforcement officers combined between city and county. And a very small budget. Outfitting them, as well as the volunteer fire department and the EMTs, is a stretch; and at times, essentials fall short. Of course, we're also not a hotbed of BLM protests and race riots, the last murder was, well, way before my time, but you never know when you're going to need protection.

I know there are other communities out there with a greater demand. And this would be a prime opportunity to help protect those who really do try to protect the community. The uniforms on the street in Dallas, the ones under fire and without body armor, were putting themselves between the shooter and civilians, even though it was apparent they were the targets. No one deserves to be a sitting duck. So check it out, and if it seems like something you can get behind, then thank you.

  2. I have no problem with this guy expressing his opinion, but I find this to be flat out wrong. W.C. supports laws and those who enforce them. What he has a problem with is those who would use their position to raise themselves above the rest of the

  4. I hear ya, Angel. You know we live in basically the same area, and it's a long ways from here to a town with any size at all. Most of the deputies around here are the same guys branding calves on weekends, or helping you chase your dogs down when they escape. Normal guys with a not so normal job.

  5. Anonymous....you know not of what you speak...maybe you should read more...judge less. Discern humor from honest opinion.

My husband is not against anyone that doesn't use their position to manipulate, force, intimidate, hurt, or strip rights from the people they are there to SERVE and PROTECT...They should NOT be TARGETED to harm!!!

Get a grip on that bicycle you ride before you fall off.
