At least once a day, I'll feel like I haven't done enough.
Or I haven't done the right thing.
Or I've just plain failed.
At least once a day, I'll wonder why God thought I could do this.
Why he picked me to take care of the Cute Chicks when I can barely take care of myself.
At least once a day, they will do something for the first time.
They'll laugh at something, notice something, enjoy something.
At least once a day, the Cute Chicks will give me a hug and
remind me why I do what I do.
Every day.
Seems to me all that just makes you a mother Angel.
ReplyDeleteyou are a most amazing person, and one of the best mom's on the planet, and an inspiration to so many...THANK YOU!!!.....

Because you stop and think those thoughts, you prove God was right choosing you in the first place.
ReplyDeleteHe chooses special parents for special children.
ReplyDeleteAngel,
ReplyDeleteYou are a living saint. Daily doing from and with love things most people would run away from, no matter how much they were paid.
There is a terribly fragile but surprisingly strong beauty in pain and sadness, a beauty of a loved one caring for family, of giving oneself for the benefits of others. And this beauty shines through you and your works.
You are truly blessed by God. And you inspire in others to step up and try to shine like you.
Thank you.
I am familiar of those feelings too. We have to remind ourselves that there is no such thing as the 'Perfect Parent'. Being there for our kids to make a decision or commit a needed action is enough. So many kids are left to 'raise themselves' in today's world.
ReplyDeleteAlex had it right. Special parents for special kids. If it were easy, everyone could do it.
ReplyDeleteKnow that you don't walk alone.
