  4. I'm with Phil.

People too stupid to know the difference between 'lose' and 'loose' are too stupid.

  5. Many good memes are ruined by misspelling 'Lose'. If you want them shared do better.

  6. People who think "looser" and "loser" are one in the same definately have another thing coming. How dare anyone expect them to tow the line in their spelling?

Having got that off my chest, let me assure you that it's not just your generation, sis. "Feminism" has been spreading this poison for almost 50 years now, and it's confused just about every woman (and man) born since 1960. Men know women are differently abled and capable, and thank God for that. If you know men who don't recognize that competition between the sexes is futile and stupid, you know the wrong men.

  7. I understood what was written, and so did the grammar nazis. So the communication was complete and useful. "Loosing" could have been a typo, as far as that goes. An example is "another thing coming". I suspect the author meant "another think coming", but maybe not. Anyway, I understood him as well.

  8. Exactly right, sis. I wish more women would embrace what they do best and do it.
    BTW-What Les said.

  10. Uh, Les.....?

That was irony, along with "definately" and "one in the same" and "tow the line." The fact that people find this communication complete means that in 50 years all English will be grunts and ghettospeak. Not good.

  11. Great job, spelling Nazi assholes.

Like you, I noticed the "loosing" instead of "losing" typo.

Like you, I knew what the sentence was intended to say.

UNlike you, however, I chose to ignore a very common and trivial error, instead of jumping on it like a rabid monkey troll and pretending that it was a big deal.

So now you have managed to insult and anger the blog owner to the point where she is considering chucking the whole thing. I would attempt to apologize to her for your rude behavior, but I doubt it would have any effect at this point.

Anyway, I hope you are proud of your victory.

    Assholes.

  12. I have a vision of ALL gramur/spelinc nazies sitting in the basement all smug and self important while the bird of paradise shats on their pointy, useless little heads.I would like to say how I really feel about them but the last time Angel sent me to the corner it was in a dry county.

  13. I am so exacting in my speech and writing that my lawyers find me a bit "up tight". So I can relate a tad to the grammar Nazis.

    BUT...

This is a blog - not a contract, not a petition nor claim nor any other legal document.

The message of the meme was clear and unmistakable.

The blog is put together by someone of talent and heart, in her spare time, for your enjoyment and edification. And it is generally free of the dreaded "typo".

You try to knock something out daily and see if you don't have a mistake now and then. (I am assuming that you are not ZH readers because your head would have already exploded.)

Someone who is making no mistakes is not doing anything worthwhile. So I safely assume that you assholes have no life.

    It is 'definitely' not 'definately'

The phrase is "toe the line" not "tow the line"

    Just sayin'...:-)

  15. As the lady says: it wasn't her composition. And even if it was her work, so what? We all got the gist. Isn't that what's important? Me, I can't spellicate for shit. I blame a poor educational start. Tipton Secondary Modern, an inner city school, was not an institution promoting academic excellence. Sadly, my Alma Mater burnt down the day after I left.

As we are not immortal, us bloggers don't have infinite time or energy to proof read our work to the nth degree.

Anyway, leave the lady alone- although I suspect she is well capable of looking after herself.....

    Play nice you crazy kids.

How many typos can you find in this comment?

Play nice. None of you are too old for a spanking.
