In 1987, I was in a Trailways bus traveling between Tallahassee and Pensacola and this enormously obese young black woman took the aisle seat next to me in the packed bus. She had the worst yeast infection I’d ever encountered, B.O. that would gag a skunk, and commenced to hauling a sandwich consisting of fermented garlic, Limburger, and sun-ripened roadkill out of a greasy grocery sack for a snack. Now I was a 5’ 4”, 130 pound, former aerobatic pilot (immune to motion sickness) who spent the next several hours (weeks? months? millennia?) dying. When I die and go to Hell, I know what my eternal fate will be…
....but hopefully one that lasts longer.....
