Red Bone is an "urban" nickname for a woman of mixed black and white ancestry. Such a woman is said to be "evil", since she has an overconfident attitude because both black and white men want her. I am just repeating what I was told.
That may be what it means now to the urban yutes, but in my day a redbone was just a lighter colored #*$$%^. In contrast wea a Hi Yeller or Hi Yella which was a lighter colored #(%%^& which had a more tan/yellowish hue.
Both terms apply to both sexes and neither is considered a compliment. And that's the way everyone around here (mid South) uses these terms.
The prerogative term used in the rural south to denote a mixed indian(native) white and African decent. They literally had a red skin tint. Common to see in Tenn. North Carolina and North Ga. The most famous one I can think of is Tina Turner.(Tenn. Native) They tend to be voluptuous. High Yellow (yeller) is a term for mixed African's that often look Asian. Very common among Porto Ricans. Often stunningly beautiful.---Ray
It's funny how white men want black women.... to quit acting like ho's, breeding like rabbits on aphrodisiacs, and instead get jobs which, 1, don't involve drugs, and 2 do not contain the word blow.
And do any of them know word one about their fathers?
I think I can count on one hand the number of times I have seen a white male and black female dating. And everyone of those was some libtard that likes to get his face in front of a camera.
Fat white women and black males?......that's another story entirely.

Some of the commentary is very interesting, especially Winston. I don't know where ya live, W.S., but down here in the Desert Southwest, I'm pretty sure someone like me - WHITE guy(blue-collar, motorcycle ridin', tattooed, right-wing/2A oriented) married to a BLACK woman(after dating her of course) for 25+ years - is not actually a libtard.. YMMV. Oh, and only a little camera shy; the cops have a lot more pictures of me than most of my pals, due to some of the events that I participate in. Heh.
Thank YOU, Wind River Ranger.....the lady will always be one of my favorite Texas characters....and yes, very ironic that the Texicans fighting to maintain slavery sang about her in one of the most popular songs to come out of the War of Northern Aggression....

ReplyDeleteHere in southern MO, the only reference to RED BONE I ever heard of was to a Hound Dog. Generally a coon dog.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was what happened when you had wake up sex in the dark when you shouldn't have had wake up sex in the dark.

Winston - Think Sam and Holly Kerodin. You described him to a T, too.
