They're called "transitions"

And they are some of the hardest things for
autistic kids to handle.

  2. Yeah, a person with autism spectrum and having to improvise sure aren't a match. My son occasionally visited McDonalds, but when the local one was torn down to be re-built in May, really rocked his world. The same happened when one of his favorites (Wendy's) was replaced with a Slim Chicken's. That one is gone for good.

    He's a young adult now, having to explain that these requests are impossible to fulfill are pretty trying on patience, especially for myself who is type 'A' personality (wife sez A means asshole in my case - meh, she's partially correct, lol).

    Keep fighting the good fight and sorry for my use of the language used in my post, you probably ran out of red ink grading it.
