My daughter and nephews will know how to use and respect firearms (not necessarily in that order). That "long road in a short time" will hit a speed bump at our house.
'Course, this pic was taken back when kids went to school for an education, not for rote memorization of test answers to boost scores (and by extension, school funding).
Not much else to say, although I mentioned to a lady at a *consignment shop today, as we were discussing the delightful 1940's era music she had on, "Back when the world was sane."
*Dixie found a delightful period picnic basket complete with the obligatory red and white checkered cloth for $12, so now we're ready.:)
Its a long road from that picture, to kids today getting suspended for drawing a picture of a gun in school.

Brock, sometimes you have to make your own sane world. And an old-fashioned picnic with the woman you love is an excellent start.

ReplyDeleteTHAT is how you reduce gun violence. You educate kids, you make guns normal, not mysterious.
Of course everyone here knows that.
