Because.....kilts, dammit

My fantasy is to be surrounded by a bunch of hairy-legged men
in kilts...
In Texas....
In March....

  1. I'll look it up for you, but there is a pinned on Pinterest that does Scottish Military history. Lots of men in kilts. Mmmmm.

  3. Men with kilts in Texas ? Aw hell no, we have too much prickly pear cactus and other things with thorns, that ain't going to work at all.

    Maybe with a kevlar thong ? :^)

  5. They have Scottish thistle in the land of kilts, and they do regimental. I think they'd be okay in Texas. ;) Besides that, the Highland Regiments wore their kilts in Egypt and Africa.

  6. Okay, look for James McKay. He's from Scotland. The banner on Pinterest says Scottish Military Uniforms.

PS. If you're ever in Northern NY the first weekend of August cross the border to the Glengarry Highland Games in Maxville, Ontario.

  10. Huh. Who needs a kilt? Pair of boots, a large knife, and a hat, and I am fine in Texas. Gun and knife if I'm going to town.

  14. Anon 10:57 here - its not low hanging junk, walking around the thick Texas brush, you have to bend over (not THAT way!) to walk under it. The edge of a kilt would likely get stepped on and you fall. Never worn a kilt, but have tripped stepping on the front edge of a rain poncho that same thing as well as stepping on it when climbing a ladder - we laughed and laughed.
