Commas, hey? Good luck with that. Classical writers used plenty of them, but nowadays the trend is to use them more sparingly. For instance, the comma in the last sentence, and those in this one. Necessary? I don't know.
You must remember there are plenty of professors/teachers/instructors who firmly believe in NEVER EVER awarding an A grade. So it isn't always the quality of the students work at fault....it's frequently the quality of the staff.
