2013: It's Going to Get Interesting
Okay, so 2012 is a few hours from ending and I can't say I'll miss it. Things didn't turn out the way I'd planned and I've had so many heartbreaks in such a short time, I'm a little numb. I could sit here and dwell on all the downright shitty things that have happened, up to and including Obama's reelection, but where would that get me? I could sit here and stew and worry about the coming dark days, but that's not productive and to be honest, it's a little disrespectful to the life we still have allotted to us.
Does this mean that I'm sticking my head in the sand and ignoring the storm on the horizon? Oh hell no, what it means is while I'm prepping, planning, practicing and praying, I'm going to be living, loving and laughing (and maybe even lusting a little, who knows? It's about time.) Every day that I wake up that is still good and unbloodied, I plan to live to the fullest. I plan to enjoy my friends and family (and that includes all of y'all, definitely among the blessings of 2012). I plan to learn new things (krav maga class starts in 5 days). I plan to stop letting my husband define my worth with distorted values. And I'm going to start planning my own happiness.
My wishes for y'all are simple, good health, lots of love, find happiness where you can, laugh every day, and if you can't be safe, take as many of the sumbitches with you as possible. We have no guarantees, living on borrowed time, let's make the most of every minute.
Love y'all

Americans never give up your guns
28.12.2012
By Stanislav Mishin
These days, there are few few things to admire about the socialist, bankrupt and culturally degenerating USA, but at least so far, one thing remains: the right to bare arms and use deadly force to defend one's self and possessions.
This will probably come as a total shock to most of my Western readers, but at one point, Russia was one of the most heavily armed societies on earth. This was, of course, when we were free under the Tsar. Weapons, from swords and spears to pistols, rifles and shotguns were everywhere, common items. People carried them concealed, they carried them holstered. Fighting knives were a prominent part of many traditional attires and those little tubes criss crossing on the costumes of Cossacks and various Caucasian peoples? Well those are bullet holders for rifles.
Another good one
I added Bob Owens' link to my blogroll, make him a daily stop. This just brings tears to my eyes because I know it's coming. And I know a lot of y'all are going to find yourselves on the front lines.
Prepare for what's coming with absolute clarity and conviction.
A Letter Home
Now that's funny...
I don't care who you are. I know the opinion some of y'all have about some LEO, and I know the opinion I have of Glock (a Glock is to my Sig Sauer as a campus cop is to James Bond). But, dammit, I love Gunny.

The Coming Storm...
It's a pretty long read, some of it I agree with, some I don't. Love to hear y'alls opinions.
"Let me explain, gun grabbers, how your confiscatory fantasy plays out. Let us imagine for a moment that a sweeping gun control bill similar to the one currently suggested is passed by the House and Senate, and signed into law by a contemptuous President.
Perhaps 50-100 million firearms currently owned by law-abiding citizens will become contraband with the stroke of a pen. Citizens will either register their firearms, or turn them in to agents of the federal government, or risk becoming criminals themselves. Faced with this choice, millions will indeed register their arms. Perhaps as many will claim they’ve sold their arms, or had them stolen. Suppose that as many as 200-250 million weapons of other types will go unregistered.
Tens of millions of Americans will refuse to comply with an order that is clearly a violation of the explicit intent of the Second Amendment. Among the most ardent opposing these measures will be military veterans, active duty servicemen, and local law enforcement officers. Many of these individuals will refuse to carry out what they view as Constitutionally illegal orders. Perhaps 40-50 million citizens will view such a law as treason. Perhaps ten percent of those, 4-5 million, would support a rebellion in some way, and maybe 40,000-100,000 Americans will form small independently-functioning active resistance cells, or become lone-wolves."

Corsette Heaven
I have seen the mistaken use of "underwear" used to describe women's undergarments several times on different blogs. I would like to correct this. There is a distinct difference between "underwear" and "lingerie".
One makes a man want to cover it up. Quickly. The other makes a man want to peek and see what's inside.
This is lingerie. With a capital L. Oh, how I want this corsette.

US Marine with a Side of Awesomesauce
I found this letter, allegedly from a US Marine named Cpl. Joshua Boston, here at Victory Girls (awesome blog).
Whether or not it's actually from a Marine is, in my opinion, beside the point. It could have been written by any one of us, millions of Americans who have been pushed too far for comfortable acceptance. We're not going to take this one laying down. We're not going to be disarmed by the Socialists, backed by Communist China and Russia, and enthusiastically endorsed by the United Nations. We are not going to accept this last attempt to strip our 2nd Amendment Rights. Feinstein and all of the other Democrats need to realize this before they bite off more than they can chew.
CNN’s iReport letter from Cpl Joshua Boston to Senator Dianne Feinstein:

CNN’s iReport letter from Cpl Joshua Boston to Senator Dianne Feinstein:
Senator Dianne Feinstein,
I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government’s right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime. You ma’am have overstepped a line that is not your domain. I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one.
I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America.
I am the man who fought for my country. I am the man who learned. I am an American. You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15 because of the actions of some evil man.
I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.
We, the people, deserve better than you.
Respectfully Submitted,
Joshua Boston

People who don’t own guns are wildly ignorant about them, and they’re easily suckered into liberal media myths that willfully repeat total lies such as being able to “buy guns online” or the idea that you can easily buy “automatic weapons” or “assault rifles.” These are all complete lies.Read the Whole Thing Here.

The Panhandle Plague of Christmas 2012
Everybody is down with the creeping crud this week. And when I say everybody, I mean everybody. Mom, dad, kids, grandparents, aunts, uncles, pizza delivery guy and Charlie just sneezed on my bare toes. Everybody is sick and whiny and looking for comfort. So what's a mom to do? Put on her headphones, blast the Eagles and ignore them until the little AOL dude says "You've Got Mail" (I'm a sucker for kitsch). Anyhoo, I open the message and it's a kick-ass Chicken Soup recipe from a reader in Nevada that looks like just what the Doctor ordered. How serendipitous is that? So, knowing how this stuff flies through the blogosphere striking down blogger after blogger, I'm sharing the recipe with y'all and a link to Shitbagster.
Thank you, Jason, for the head's up.

Great Article on True Meaning of Militia
Found at American Thinker
"Militia: a word which has been twisted into something that has an entirely different meaning from when our country was founded and now with its every utterance, spits on the graves of those who died in our nation's birthing. Thanks to the Clintonite media after the Oklahoma City slaughter, just the mention of it conjures up images of rednecks dressed in camouflage, running around the woods with plans to kill everyone isight. A fringe element with who knows what on their minds -- but you can bet it is evil. It is a group that has little in common with the farmers, shopkeepers, and mechanics of Lexington, Concord and Battle Road."

When I was a Broadcast journalism student, and then a news reporter (different life, I grew up), I was very mindful of how my reporting affected everyday people. Was what I reported the truth (fact based), was it helpful, was it fair to all parties? As you can see, I wasn't a successful reporter.
I read Mr. Worley's article (HERE). Make note of the Editor's Note beneath the graphic listing gun owners. Oh heck, here it is:
Editor’s note: Journal News reporter Dwight R. Worley owns a Smith & Wesson 686 .357 Magnum and has had a residence permit in New York City for that weapon since February 2011.

A very Merry Christmas
I received this from WiscoDave a couple of days ago and wanted it to be my sole Christmas Post. The song is hauntingly beautiful and the words touching.
May each of you dear friends have a merry Christmas and a very blessed New Year.

Back when I did Rev War each Sunday we would read the names of
those from the group who had died listing their rank and their unit. We would
reverse our muskets and as a group sing the stanza in red.
This song was originally used instead of "Auld Lang Syne."
God Bless each of you and those that you hold dear.
Merry Christmas, my friends...

Some Christmas tuneage: Santa Claus Is Back In Town
The lead singer is James Durbin, 4th place on 2011 American Idol and a young man living with both Tourette's and Asperger's Syndromes. He's a loving husband and father. And a shining example of what can happen when you go for your dreams and don't quit. Don't EVER quit.
Hugs and Merry Christmas to everyone out there who is "different", who has challenges that aren't always obvious. And to those of you in their lives who love and support them, bless you with strength, patience and an enduring sense of wonder. It's an amazing life, isn't it?

Hypocrisy, again and again and again
"Shame on President Obama for seeking more gun control and for trying to prevent the parents of other school children from doing what he has clearly done for his own. His children sit under the protection guns afford, while the children of regular Americans are sacrificed."

Merry Christmas from Tinker Monkey-Buns!
Please post your Elf name in comments.
Pretty please? on my knees with whipped cream and cherries....
I hope y'all know I'm keeping a list of these in the Angel Files
to be used as blackmail at a later date.
Merry Christmas!
With all my love to those who have lost
Reluctance
Out through the fields and the woods
And over the walls I have
wended;
I have climbed the hills of view
And looked at the world and
descended;
I have come by the highway home,
And lo, it is ended.
The leaves are all dead on the ground,
Save those that the oak is
keeping
To ravel them one by one
And let them go scraping and creeping
Out over the crusted snow,
When others are sleeping.
And the
dead leaves lie huddled and still,
No longer blown hither and thither;
The last lone aster is gone;
The flowers of the witch-hazel wither;
The heart is still aching to seek,
But the feet question 'Whither?'
Ah, when to the heart of man
Was it ever less than a treason
To
go with the drift of things,
To yield with a grace to reason,
And bow
and accept the end
Of a love or a season?

Bill Ayers: The Face of the Enemy
“If we want change to come, we would do well not to look at the sites of power we have no access to; the White House, the Congress, the Pentagon,” Ayers added. “We have absolute access to the community, the school, the neighborhood, the street, the classroom, the workplace, the shop, the farm.”

We all know the state of public education has eroded. My daughters are beyond indoctrination. Their time in the public school system is full of speech, occupational and physical therapy. Their days are filled with learning life skills. So I'm not too worried. But for everyone else, I'm terrified. My advice to you is homeschool if it's possible, private school as a second choice. But if you're locked into public school by financial constraints, become involved in your kids' educations. Know what they're being taught and counteract it with true history. Teach what isn't being taught, make sure your morals and values are clear to your kids and give them more than "because I said so" to use as a rebuttal when their teachers challenge their values. Our youth isn't lost unless we give up on them. Fight back with vengeance and honor.
2011 Secular Winter Hawaiian Holiday ~ Reversed
Hey, anyone remember the monumental stench of Moochelle and kids jetting off on a separate jet, costing taxpayers hundreds of thousands? Because she wanted her FULL entitlement Hawaii vacay while Dear Leader stayed home to "work" on kicking the can down the road? Well, it seems they all got on the same AF1 and headed to Hawaii together this year. And there is speculation that Obama will return to DC the day after Christmas. So who wants to lay bets that the FFA and munchkins will sacrifice and save the taxpayers money by coming back with him? Anyone? Hello? Yeah, me neither.
So it looks like it'll either be send AF2 back for the family, make them come back on one of the many planes already over there (wouldn't you love to see Mooch have to come home on a C-130?), make them come home on a commercial flight, or make them stay there for the next 4 years. Decisions, decisions.

West Calls for Mexico Boycott; Free Jon Hammar
"Congressman Allen West today sided with his fellow Republican Congressmen, Duncan Hunter and Michael Grimm, in asking that Americans boycott travel to Mexico until detained Marine Corp veteran Jon Hammar is released from jail. Hammar has been jailed in a Mexican prison on a bogus weapons charge.
Apparently, Mexican officials do not seem willing to release Hammar, citing that “Mexico has had very stringent gun-control laws in place for many years, and have reinforced their application as a result of the flow of weapons illicitly purchased in the U.S. and then trafficked into Mexico and into the hands of transnational criminal organizations.”-Fox News
More HERE
I haven't been to Mexico in more than 10 years, and that time flew into the resort area and back out. Never leaving the "tourist approved areas", it was relatively safe. Now I don't want to be anywhere near the border to Mexico. Why anyone would voluntarily put their lives at risk is beyond me. But if Mr. Hammar's family thinks they'll get any help from Obama or his State Department, they are sadly deluded. God help this Marine.
Let's Talk Priorities
Let me just say up front I am NOT a fan of having a police officer in each school. They (Libtards) talk about the trauma a young child would endure seeing a teacher packing heat, how is seeing an armed police officer any different? And with the militarization of many police forces, especially in larger cities, how hard would it be to find an officer with the right mindset? And why would you spend $5 billion to pay cops to guard schools when simply allowing responsible gun owners to exercise their rights cost NOTHING? Zip. Nada. You don't have to pay them, pay for their weapons, ammo, training. It's their right and responsibility. Just get out of their way.
How I Plan to Protect MY Children
I will never rely on someone else for a first line of defense for my kids. Their safety and happiness is my ultimate duty. I will never ask someone else to put his or her life in danger protecting them when I am present. We are having a school board meeting the first week back after the holiday. Primary point of discussion will be lifting the gun free zone for adults (over 21) who are licensed to carry. Our fall-back is a biometric safe in each principal's office linked to the police department with at least 6 qualified to open it and use the weapons in an emergency. We have a very motivated community. And isn't it interesting which weapon the mom is holding in the pic above?
