We could learn from the Russians

Yes, but I'm not that tan

I know why some animals eat their young

And now you know

Max knows

We have a basket full of squeakerless victims.

I think Obama beat him to it

I need a new coffee maker

Anyone know what brand this one is?

I'm not dead....yet

I made an 83.5 on the last exam. Whoo.
Next exam in three days on very subjective material.
We'll see how it goes.
Spouse was home for 12 days on vacation, got 0 studying done,
was deathly ill most of last week, dragged all over three counties
because he was bored, ended up buying a Troybilt chipper/shredder
and a 3.5 cuft concrete mixer. The possibilities are endless.
Teen Queen is down, acute bronchitis that is flirting with pneumonia.
And I still haven't done the taxes.
Life is starting to pile on.

Also called "Downward Daddy Issues"

Quick Update on Life

I'm still alive. Marginally.
Test #2 was an 83.5. Better, but still not great.
I'm battling allergies from hell. We swing from cold and wet to
warm and dry, everything is pollinating,
the cotton is being ginned just a few miles up the road.
You don't dust dust off your furniture, you wipe up cotton fibers.
It would appear I'm highly allergic to cotton dust.
I can wear it all day, but I can't inhale it for shit.
Living on Nasonex, Claritin, and getting a Depo Medrol shot tomorrow.
So that's the scoop.
Oh, and my word was "last".

When your mechanic drags his ass across the asphalt

So.....

On Friday, I took my first exam in my Grammar and Style for Technical Communicators course. On Saturday, I found out I failed it with a 69.5. Me, the Grammar Nazi. By the way, that was a sentence fragment, frowned upon by the literati. I've never failed a test in my life, especially not an English test. I was devastated. My world was literally rocked. I know how to speak properly. I know I write semi-literate sentences. But I failed a fucking grammar test.

I've been hitting the books hard, re-reading the last assignment plus reading the material for the next test. I've got eight days to get my shit together and perform adequately, or I'll be booted from the class. So this will be the last post for a while. Sorry, but my priorities have shifted slightly.

Oh, and I noticed a few days ago on wirecutter's blog, y'all were discussing pomegranates. There's an easy way to deal with those suckers. You're welcome.
