But well worth the struggle.

The building of wiserangel's vocabulary

Advice from wirecutter

When dealing with the feds, or any other LEO that lands on your doorstep, don't. Don't talk, don't let them in without a warrant, if they have a warrant read it. Better advice than I could ever give you.
Go read it, study it, memorize it, live it. I'm going to go lawyer hunting (okay, that sounded way wrong, "searching") Tuesday.

What I'm drinking this weekend

Yea! Detox weekend! Actually, this stuff is really good, tasty, works well, and mixes with either whiskey or gin.

Body Flush and Detox Water

1 cucumber...
1 lemon
1 or 2 oranges
2 limes
1 bunch of mint

Slice them all and divide the ingredients between four 24 oz water bottles, muddle slightly and fill them up with filtered water. Drink daily Not only does this taste delicious and help flush fat, but it also counts toward your daily water intake!

Lemons: Help in the absorption of sugars and calcium and cuts down your cravings for sweets.

Cucumbers act as a diuretic and flush fat cells. It is alkalizing to the body (if you have an alkaline body, no diseases can live there), and increase your energy levels.

Limes promote a healthy digestive tract.

Mint is a natural appetite suppressant that also aids in digestion.

Please, please, please, please

One of  the things I love to do is spend time with Poppy as his caddy (I can't play golf, no eye/hand coordination and a lack of cussing skills). We have played some absolutely gorgeous courses (the one at Angel Fire, NM is breathtaking) and some shit courses (think cactus and mesquite in the rough); but the one thing that remains a constant joy is rental golf carts. Scarier than getting the crappy cart at the grocery store that has the one wheel that spins like a ballerina on crack is getting the cart with the loose steering wheel that turns without any change of course of the cart.

As caddy (and designated driver), I get to drive Poppy and his crew to the course and drive the golf cart as they drink beer (and whatever it is that Bones keeps in his hip flask), bullshit, and cheat at golf. It is, without a doubt, one of the most fun chores I have as #1 Daughter. But if I could just have this...

Man Candles, for setting that special ambiance

Been there, done that

Just a good excuse to empty the bottle.

It's the little things in life

I'm a simple girl. I take pleasure in simple things. Like embarrassing the cute chicks when I drop them off at school. Bunch of kids hanging out in front the high school, come screaming up in the momvan, windows down, The Clash blaring, singing at the top of my lungs with feeling and slightly off key, the Teen Queen hops out before I come to a complete stop and starts hauling ass for the door.

"Bye darlin'! Have a good day! I love you!!!!!"

"Mom! Stop!"

"Darlin' you've got to let me know.... should I stay or should I go."

Heh heh heh.

And.....there's my mom.

It's Take Me! Tuesday

In Memoriam Stevie Ray Vaughn

Priceless

I didn't watch the VMA show the other night, got too many truly important things to do like clean the lint out of my belly button and express the neighbor dog's anal glands, but I have heard about young Miley Cyrus's fall from grace(?). And I had to see what all the wailing and gnashing of teeth was about. Oh Dear Lord. That's two minutes I'll never get back. Then I saw this, and it spoke to me.

Light dawns in the forest

I have a really bad habit. I have to know why. I have to examine and do post-mortems on everything to figure out WHY. I have had many people I know, love and respect tell me to chill the fuck out and stop overthinking things. And now I have a professional backing all my friends.

I learned today the difference between "clean pain" and "dirty pain". Clean pain is what you feel when something bad happens, a breakup, a betrayal, a death. It is clean and pure emotion designed to cleanse the heart and soul. If you let it. If you let yourself go through the hell, open yourself to it, feel it, experience it, let it roll through you and then let it go. Holding on to the pain isn't going to change what caused it, and holding on turns it to "dirty pain".

We dirty up our pain when we deny it, examine it, try to justify it, excuse it, question it. Everything but feel it. I am an extreme avoider. I hate conflict, I hate extreme emotions. It's like puking, I'll do anything to avoid puking. I'll do anything to avoid pain. And like puking, it just prolongs it and makes it worse. I'm not helping myself by asking questions I will never get answers to. Why? Why did he betray me? Why didn't he love me enough? What is wrong with me? Why aren't I enough? What more could I have done to change it? What could I have done to prevent it? Why???? I was told today that each time I ask these questions, it's like pulling the scab off my soul and poking it with a dirty stick. Then when I can't take the pain anymore, I avoid it by putting a band aid on it and pretending it's not there. I've been doing this for six years.

So this is my lesson today. Sometimes, no matter what you do or how hard you try, you get hurt because you can't control what another person does; and some people just aren't very nice. And when you are hurt, feel it, accept it, let it move through you and let it go. Questioning it or ignoring it isn't going to change what happened to cause it.

WiscoDave: Back to School

From WiscoDave, re WI PatCon

I'll be holding a PatCon at my farm in Horicon, WI on Saturday, September 21.

Nothing fancy, just a greet, meet and eat for interested Patriots in the area.

Limited rough indoor accommodations and outside camping available if you want/need to stay over night.

Reservations/advance warning appreciated so I can figure out food for Saturday. I would appreciate it if you would bring your own beverages and something to pass; dish or chips. Very casual affair.

There doesn't seem to be much going on in WI - maybe we can start something good.

III to III

Contact WiscoDave at acwd4556@yahoo.com for more info.Thanks.

How to make a still with a pressure cooker

Yippee! Another use for my vile, extremist pressure cooker in it's off-season. Right now, it's busy canning it's little pressure cooker ass off. You can purify distill any water source into clean drinking water, and other uses as the individual may deem appropriate.

Who's right here?

WiscoDave sent me the link to the story about the little 4-year-old girl's garden being threatened by the USDA. I read the whole thing, anger and disbelief, then read it again. There are so many layers here, it's starting to look like a really fucked up wedding cake.

First, Mary and her disabled mom live in government subsidized housing. The sentence from the post that really got me was this (emphasis mine):

"The USDA pays most of the rent for Mary and thousands of citizens like her around the United States."

The USDA cuts the check, but the funds come from us, the American taxpayers.

Then there was this (emphasis all the author's):

"The Federal bureaucracy seems to think that it owns those individuals who receive any sort of government assistance and that their behavior is completely within its jurisdiction to control no matter how ridiculous or blatantly un-American the power-tripping “rules” they decide to put in place may be."

Playing the SSI game, I'm beginning to realize the absolute truth of this. Once a citizen accepts government largess, the government assumes that it can override the citizen's rights. Kind of like buying a girl a $200 dinner and expecting her to dance nekkid for the rest of her life.

And then the third layer of this shit cake is the property management firm that is the actual entity demanding the destruction of Mary's garden; the USDA is maintaining it has no rules against gardens, nor is it standing up for Mary. This sentence gets my Libertarian panties in a twist (emphasis mine):

"It (USDA) should do the right thing and insist that property owners and managers of subsidized housing permit residents to grow their own food in well cared for gardens rather than look the other way when residents are bullied for their efforts at self sufficiency."

Insist?! This is privately owned property rented out to individuals and paid for by the tax money disbursed by the US government. As a Libertarian, I will always side with the individual over the government. The property owners have a right to say what they will and will not accept on their property. If they don't want little gardens all over the place, that is their right. They bought the land, developed it, and are managing it for a profit. Now that being said, that doesn't make their demands any less boneheaded or heartless. Sometimes, liberty means you're free to be a boneheaded asshole. As long as the property is maintained by the owners for the health and safety of the residents who pay to live there (not a slum or hazard), they can decide how the landscape is to be maintained.

It is common sense to not only allow, but encourage those dependent on the government (us) for housing and food to grow their own veggies. It's a healthy addition to their diets and it gives them a sense of pride and purpose, providing their own sustenance. I love that a small 4-year-old girl sees this as a worthy endeavor when other kids are busy watching tv and playing video games. I would love to help and encourage her any way possible. I think, while the property management firm is well within it's rights as a private landowner to choose how their land is used, it's a heartless short-sighted move. I hope they can search their hearts and come to a more compassionate decision, perhaps setting aside part of the commons area for a community garden. Or setting standards for having individual gardens. And as for the government's involvement in this whole situation? I will always advocate for smaller, less intrusive government. If ours hadn't grown to the unholy behemoth of soulless bad decisions that it is, we wouldn't have to worry about their involvement in individuals' lives.

So that's Angel's Sunday Sermon. Peace be with you.

If you have kids, you'll get it

Meet the DHS

Ayo Kimathi. I'm not stunned, not even mildly shocked. I'm not angered that my tax money is paying his salary, or that his federal job is basically arming the government gun pointed at us. I'm resolved.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A Homeland Security employee is the operator of a racist website predicting and advocating a race war, a department official said Thursday.
Ayo Kimathi, who is an acquisitions officer for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, operates the site, War on the Horizon, which includes descriptions of an ‘‘unavoidable, inevitable clash with the white race.’’ Kimathi is black.
The DHS official spoke on the condition of anonymity because the official was not authorized to discuss the case publicly.
While many of the postings on Kimathi’s site are inflammatory, it was not immediately clear whether they cross the legal threshold into unprotected hate speech, and the posts may not violate DHS policies if he does not curate the website at work or espouse the ideologies in the office.
Kimathi, who identifies himself online using a pseudonym, did not respond to phone calls and emails from The Associated Press to his home and office. According to the ICE acquisitions website, Kimathi is a small business specialist responsible for purchasing handcuffs, guns and other law enforcement equipment and services.

Beyond tired

I'm beyond fighting anymore, I'm so tired I can't think and just when one tangle is straightened out, four more pop up. I got the guardianship squared away just in time for Obamacare to fuck it 10 ways to Sunday. Without insurance, Teen Queen's monthly meds would be around $1200, with insurance, $400. So we applied for SSI. Now, with the new and improved ObamaCare, the guardian can't be the fulltime caregiver, and the SSI payee must be the guardian of the estate; but since the guardian can't be the fulltime caregiver, an outside party must be chosen by the guardian or appointed by the government to be caregiver (options are giving the State custody, placing her in an approved home, hiring a qualified *SEIU* caregiver) with the SSI payments being paid to said caregiver with her "estate" covering the difference.  Fuck Obama, fuck Obamacare and fuck every chickenshit RINO who rolled over and let this pass, fuck Chief Justice Roberts who allowed the Constitutionality of the most unConstitutional piece of shit ever, and fuck every evil soulless fuck who had a fucking hand in the drafting of this steaming pile of shit.

I've lost my basic faith and trust in men, too, but that's a rant for another day. One crushed dream at a time.

Apologies and brainwash

Sorry for that last post, folks, here's something better.

Why? For the love of God, WHY?!

I did the WTF clothing choice for ice cream cone girl a couple of days ago, now we look at the men's edition. There is absolutely NO excuse for this, just as there is no reason on earth for any man over the age of 3 who is not an Olympic swimmer or diver to wear a Speedo. If any of you good Patriots ever see anything like this in person, smack them in the head and tell them Angel deputized you in the Fashion Police.

To Protect and Serve, definition?

A woman in Amarillo was seriously injured (including a severed leg) when the car she was helping to push off an I-40 exit ramp was rear-ended by another car exiting. The issue: the Amarillo Police Department was notified earlier of the disabled vehicle, and an APD squad car passed the vehicle and citizens pushing it shortly before the accident occurred. According to the department's spokesperson, by the time the officer had turned around to go investigate, the accident had already occurred.

Corporal Jerry Neufeld of the Amarillo Police Department said APD does not have a specific policy stating they "must" help broke down vehicles on the side of the road.

"If an officer is approaching or sees a vehicle that's broke down or somebody is trying to do something with them, depending on the situation, the day, and the time, he's gonna do everything he can to keep that person from getting hit or an accident occurring." said Neufeld.

Neufeld said it is unknown where the vehicle was at the time the officer passed, but he has no doubt that the officer would have stopped had the situation looked dangerous at the time he had passed.

Okay:
#1 There is no specific policy stating they "must" help broke down vehicles.
#2 Up to individual officer's judgment.
#3 If the situation had looked dangerous....anybody else think pushing a vehicle of a major interstate highway's off-ramp during morning rush hour may not look dangerous?

Breakfast tomorrow: Bacon scones

Ingredients:

For the scones:...
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1-2 tsp. ground black pepper (depending on your preference)
8 tbsp. cold unsalted butter, cut into small cubes
1½ cups grated cheddar cheese
4 green onions, thinly slices
1 lb sliced bacon, cooked and chopped or crumbled into small pieces
1 cup buttermilk (plus up to ½ cup extra, if needed)

For the egg wash:

1 large egg
2 tbsp. water

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 400˚ F. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the flour, baking powder, salt and black pepper; mix briefly to combine. Add the cubes of butter and mix on low speed until the mixture is crumbly and the butter pieces are about the size of small peas. (Alternatively, this can be done in a regular mixing bowl, using a pastry blender or two knives to cut the butter into the dry ingredients.) Add in the grated cheese and mix just until incorporated.

Mix in the green onions, bacon, and 1 cup of the buttermilk into the flour-butter mixture. Stir by hand just until all the ingredients are incorporated. If the dough is too dry to come together, mix in the remaining buttermilk a tablespoon or two at a time until the dough can be formed into a ball. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and pat the dough into an 8-inch disk. Slice the dough into 8 to 10 wedges.

Mmmmm....bacon

Goodnight Wisdom

In honor of wirecutter hitting 3 million today.
He has taught me so much about the meaning of being a Patriot,
a Libertarian, and most importantly,
being prepared for anything anytime.
Thank you wc, God bless and hugs.

Oh, and no I'm not linking you, Mr. "I only got 10,000 hits today". Egotistical bastard, if they want to see your milfs, cameltoes and other babes, they can find your link in my sidebar. Sheesh.

Wirecutter's Lemonade Stand

Why wasn't I invited?

There has been a sexual revolution apparently, and I have missed it. Growing up Captist (half Catholic, half Baptist), there was only ONE rule for sex: No. Until you're married, and then for the love of God and all that's Holy, don't enjoy it. Slut. Fast forward 33 years.

According to many female authors, having and thoroughly enjoying sex, even having sex with different men throughout your sexual life-time, does not constitute being a "slut". Having a rich and varied sex life does not brand a big red W on your chest. However, according to a lot of Facebook memes, yes it does. There's even something called "slut shaming" that is a big deal and practically (in some circles) tantamount to a "hate crime". So color me confused.

"Yea! More women to have sex with!
But you'd better not have sex with anybody but me,
or you're a whore!"

My experiences have marched lock step with this Saint/slut philosophy. There are women you bang who thoroughly love sex, and women you love who are above such sleaziness. I haven't had much to discredit this. One fiance, one husband, no enjoyment. My experiences, granted, are limited at best. My control group is two. I have questions, lots and lots of questions. I have girlfriends who are trying to help me locate my inner Sex Goddess who went AWOL sometime in the mid-80s, who are deeply into the liberated sexual woman camp. They are fully supportive of women having and enjoying sex every bit as much as men. But do men think this way, too? How do men really feel about "sexually liberated" women? I have no men friends to ask, except for y'all; so bear with me, this is going to be interesting.

Some ground rules, this isn't a request for pictures of your junk. This isn't about trashing women, or putting them on a pedestal, or asking for prurient sexual talk. This is a request for insight, information, a look at the opposing team's playbook. How do you guys see this issue?

How much sex, how many different partners, can a woman enjoy before sliding into the slut column?

Are there certain sex acts that are too slutty for good girls? Are there such creatures as good girls and bad girls?

Is it a turnoff to men to have a completely inexperienced lover? Someone who needs teaching and guidance? Or do you want your lovers prepped, primed and ready to go?  Think middle-aged woman with the skillset of a noob.

Okay those are my biggest questions. For now. If you don't want your comment posted, put DO NOT POST at the beginning, or email me. If you feel more comfortable commenting anonymously, that's fine too. And ladies, I'd love to here from y'all. Commence the discussion.

Why, people? WHY?!

I'm all for loving your body as it is, embracing your big beautiful self. BUT....

For the love of God, dress to compliment your curves, dress for the body you have which means buy clothes that fit properly. There is no need for this, ever. So ladies, do the rest of your curvaceous sisters a solid and stop going out of the house in jeans 6 sizes too small. Beauty is NOT a number on a scale or on clothing labels. Sexy is NOT size 2 jeans on a size 18 ass. Sexy is owning your curves, unashamedly, and rocking them with clothes that hug them sensuously, not strangle the shit out of them until your toes turn purple and pop off.
