Excellent words of wisdom. Too bad we can't tattoo it in the brains (whatever are available) of our modern political critters...a worthless bunch one and all.
You can also find Crocketts letter over at constitution.org. which is the web site of the Constitution Society. I've spent a bit of time there myself and I preferred their old web site for ease of finding stuff. You'll find stuff like what is a Citizen of the State, a citizen of the State, or a citizen of the United States. And also if Indians are citizens. AHhhh, curiosity.
