How do you carry?

I usually carry Condition 2, unless I'm expecting trouble. Really good read and some very good videos. Go check it out.

Condition 2--I have a CZ-82, which is DA/SA. And a safety that pops off easier than I am happy with.

Condition 2 if I'm carrying my GLOCK or Condition 1 if I've decided to carry my 1911 that day.

Glad you liked my post! Thanks for the reblog!

Condition One. It's safer than trying to lower the hammer on a 1911 with a round in the chamber.

There's no excuse for carrying an unloaded gun. You might as well just leave the fucker at home.

Wirecutter is 100% correct!

Condition 2, I have a DA auto. If I am expecting trouble I make every effort to avoid the area, otherwise condition 0 on my Saiga 12.

Usually Condition 2 (I carry a Springfield XD until I can acquire a 1911), but right now I'm breaking in a new holster, so Condition 3 until the leather shapes itself better.

Safety?? What's that? Sorry guys and gals. I carry glock, xdm, xds , in the market for a 1911

depends on the gun. 1911: Condition 1. Others: condition 2. Depends on the gun, really.

Condition 3...you might as well leave it at home. Yer just fooling yourself.

Now my truck guns (carbines), on the other hand, are generally in condition 2. But that is behind/under the seat....

RabidAlien, wrap it in wax paper with the waxy side out, shove it into the holster and leave it for 24 hours. Something about the wax infusing into the leather forms it perfectly to the shape of your gun.
I know because I'm a holster whore.

Condition 5. First a background (totally fictional, right?). Obama is ticked about the midterm elections. He allows Ebola, immigration, riots that will likely get worse in Ferguson and spread to other cities, market crashes after the Fed stops printing money and freezing low interest rates and other not-yet-known occurrences to prompt him to activate his executive orders (such as #13603) to declare martial law, take over personal property, transportation and businesses (everyone has forgotten perhaps "you didn't build that, someone else [the government] did"?)and the indefinite suspension of the next presidential election (all are in that executive order). The U.N. will step in to enforce UN Agenda 21 (anyone hear that THE UNITED NATIONS told Detroit they couldn't shut off water to persons not paying their bills?)and the troops and militarized police whom the president said he would authorize to use deadly force against Americans on American soil (goodbye Posse Comitatus)will come in and take,or attempt to take all our firearms. Don't forget, even if they are not registered, doctors have been asking patients if they have sidearms (not to mention whatever mysterious questions they ask when they exercise their rights question children privately) as well as divisions of homeland security who have been encouraging people to report family, friends and neighbors ("If you see something, say something") will all be fed into the powers that be who will come forcibly pounding on our doors, as they did in the Boston Marathon bombing.

SO, Condition 5? NO GUN. Could be from turning over our guns. OR it could be from laying bullet-ridden in a puddle of blood - still with NO GUN.

Anyone that thinks the Republicans who won midterm elections by a landslide will step in to help - well, I don't think so.
