Actually, the above makes a lot of sense. Attaching a deck to a trailer can add quite a bit of house value for property values. Having a trailer parked in front of it would not do that.
MY BIL added such a deck to his trailer, about 15' wide by 40' long. The covered deck, attached to the trailer to prevent leaks added about $30,000 to the tax value to the trailer. Whole trailer did not even cost that much. He knows he spent about $2,000 in materials and took about a week to do the whole thing himself.
