Monday Musical Interlude

I was never a big fan of American Idol. I can honestly say I've never watched a full season, beginning to end. The only season I got caught up in was #10, and only because one of the top four was a young man with a great rock voice struggling with high functioning Autism and Tourette's. James Durbin went down #4, this young lady went down #3, no one knows what happened to #2, and the winner was Scotty McCreery who looked like Howdy Doody.

Anyway, Hailey Reinhart has apparently found her niche on Vintage Postmodern Jukebox, this band takes great singers, modern songs, and gives them classical twists. Here's her 50s rendition of Radiohead's Creep. Mesmerizing.

Warning:
This Youtube Channel is highly addictive.
If you're a musical soul, I may never see you again.
You've been warned.

I ran across PMJ and Haley about six months ago, and have become addicted. This version of "Creep" gives me chills. I also love the songs sung by Puddles Pity Party.

Just love artists like this. And songs in this style are my passion, in a manner of speaking, except that as a sax player, I always add stuff in my head that I would play to tweak it up a little bit. Old habits die hard.

OK, im really curious here. I first heard "Creep" from the Stone Temple Pilots album "Core". Listening to this take on it, its he same song. Looked up "Creep" from Radiohead, its the same song after hearing a sample. So, off to Wikipedia. Wiki says Creep was written by the Radiohead guys. Play sample, same song. Wiki up Stone Temple Pilots, and its lyrics there are attributed to STP. Neither site on the wikis gives "Cover" mention to one or the other.

Its the same song so what gives?
