There are a couple of Firefox addons that do something similar. One, I believe is "White Noise Generator," which accesses random web pages in the background while you do your regular browsing. I installed it some years ago, and it worked then, but I haven't used it in some time -- so I don't know if it's still being supported. It doesn't fill your history like the suggestion, but it's close.
