Minnesota gets some come to Jesus cold weather. Couple lake effect with the fact that the only thing in the Dakotas to slow the winds are two dead trees and a fence that's in need of repair, and you get some nasty weather. I'll take Texas cold any day. its always warmer then Kansas, or at least northern Kansas.
Ask him if he hoes just to town or out to plant sites.
We had lots of equipment deliveries when I was up there. Now I try and avoid workup there... but this year looks slow enough i'm likely going to have to do it.

The coldest place I have ever been is a drilling rig in North Texas.
Seismic on the Canadian prairies, when it is minus 20 or colder and the wind is blowing.
That's definitely an "Oh, SHIT is it COLD!" area!

He hauls to the camps out there.
Stays in the dorms when he's there.
Was he ever at the Brion or Dover site?
