Yes, it's just that simple

There's no cow collective.
No taking my cow, butchering it and giving the meat away.
No milking my cow, shooting the cow and pouring the milk on the ground.
No. Just me and my cow.
If you want a cow, cool.
But it's not my job to provide you with one.

You will - when one Cow-Owner overgrazes the land and your Cow can't find enough food - or when the Mega- Cow Owner's Cow poison your well or water supply.

The Tragedy of The Commons: The tragedy of the commons is an economic theory of a situation within a shared-resource system where individual users acting independently and rationally according to their own self-interest behave contrary to the common good of all users by depleting that resource.

ummm, tricky dicky, MY cow is grazing on MY land behind MY fence, and what you do on your side is up to you.The "commons" is for COMmunist societies ...but, if you poison the creek, the other neighbors and I will shoot your ass...it IS that simple...

PS: if the only way I can operate is the way the government tells me to,and they are going to take my pursuit of happiness, my liberty and ultimately my life, then screw em, I will just start stealing cows....

REmember, YOU didn't make that cow, Hillary did!

The problem is how did you get your cow in the first place?
Did you get it by screwing over 100's of other people trying to get their own cow too.
Nice little allegory but way too simplistic for the real world.

Anon..."In the beginning, God created....." How far back do you want to go? I may have worked to earn the cow, I may have inherited the cow from my parents or my grandparents, I may have married a woman with cows. The existentialist point is...it IS MY Cow now, and if you socialist bastards try to take her, I will kill your ass.AND THAT is the very real world.
