Rants, Raves and Recipes from the Edge of Sanity
One of the guys I volunteer with on the Battleship Iowa makes things like this. With hand tools......
Takes skills to make joints like that...And a decent tool selection. And skills. Crap. I would have to live to be a hundred and ten to have the time to get that good.
I have a friend who is Japanese. Her dad before he passed on used to Japaneese joinery woodworking. All done with hand tools and very complex joints.Exile1981
just an absolute work of art...could be in museum somewhere, but probly too functional for that.....vaquero viejo
Wow - sexy wood craftsmanship there. wow.The pic shows something that is not perfect, that joint is at least a skinny 1/8th off, but is very attractive to look at.May use this to put something together for the patio...
Nine kinds of cool, right there.FormerFlyer
I can make you something like this without The 1/8th inch off thing if you like. Drop me a note and I will get it done. -Bill
