The ME Generation makes lousy parents

"Selfies". Those ubiquitous images of self-absorbed young women (and sadly "men") that are popping up on social media. They aren't the "yousies" we used to take of our friends and family to remind us of cherished memories and loved ones. They aren't even "usies" that record our moments with loved ones. They are "Me-MORIES". No one else matters, not even the sad, sometimes embarrassed, sometimes obnoxious kids caught in the background.

Just imagine if these were the only pics you had of you and your mom.

Selfies are kind of a thing. Every generation does some stupid unique stuff.

Also now provocative photos sent from phone to phone are a pretty common dating thing. Far, far more common than the occasional Polaroid was 20 years ago. Odd but it is a pretty mainstream part of dating now.

Now the slutty selfies with kids, I think that is in really poor taste. Loves me some MILFs and all but is it too much to wait till a kid who takes a 2 hour nap and goes to bed at 8 to be asleep to take sleuting photos? I do not think so.
