Snort, Sheesh, Dudes

As a retired academic, I find charts, graphs, and stats endlessly amusing. As a former psych major, I find the human mind endlessly fascinating. As a former abnormal psych student, I find the male mind totally predictable. See that spike? Yeah the fully erect, phallic one at 9 am? Guess which post that was.... heh heh heh....

I just adore you guys, carry on and have a pleasant evening...

Straight Up White Trash, Angel-style

Okay, having come from a long and proud history of white trash, and escaping somewhat unscathed, I feel entitled to snatching this feature from Wirecutter. For my debut, may I introduce you to the lovely Ms. Megan Mariah Barnes and her tragic pussy shaving ordeal:

No, no, no, you must continue reading... so many questions, so few answers...

"37-Year old Megan Mariah Barnes had to meet her boyfriend for a "special" visit but forgot to take care of the horrendous pubic hair around her privates. So, she decided - because she can't be late for the visit, she will shave them while driving. She asked her ex-husband Charles Judy, who was in the passenger seat, to hold the wheel while she would shave her pubes.Obviously, it didn't work as she rear-ended another car that was making a turn."

Read the rest here

First, what the hell was her ex-husband doing in the car as she was driving to meet her boyfriend for a "special" visit? Second, why wasn't he driving in the first place? See, folks, this is why I trust my most intimate grooming to a Nordic Ice Queen named Crazy Mary. If that ain't straight up white trash, I don't know what is. Carry on.

Good Lord, How Did I Miss This One?

Okay, I've met and chatted with so many incredible people, first commenting on their blogs, and then starting my own. How the hell did I miss Keads' blog? Shame, shame, I am ready for my punishment...

Seriously, check him out, awesome daily read.

Immigration: Then and Now

I have had this discussion ad nauseum with the Libs on HuffPo (yes I go there to rattle the monkeys' cages). There is a difference between LEGAL immigrants (which my ancestors were) and ILLEGAL immigrants (which my neighbors are). There is a difference between PRODUCTIVE immigrants and PARASITIC immigrants.

My family (both sides) came to America with skills and a desire to work and build. One side did not speak or read English, barely read in their native tongues (German, French), but they had carpentry and woodworking skills. And a desire to be productive and enjoy the fruits of their labors. The other side, Irish, also came with skills (and a killer whiskey recipe, they were run out of 3 Southern states for moonshining, still have the recipe and my uncle's family has the still). But the point is, immigrants once came to this country for the opportunities to build lives and fortunes, to live freely.

Now the immigrants, both illegal and legal, seem to be coming to America solely for the opportunity to live for free. And it's not bad enough that they aren't being discouraged in that endeavor, they are actively being COURTED by our government. There is a website, run by the government, directing immigrants (regardless of legal status) to the proper offices for assistance in obtaining government aid. Why? For what benefit? (That was a rhetorical question, I'm sure most of you know the answer).

Thoughts from the Left Coast

Within a couple of days of the election, we had all pretty much seen the blue/red maps broken down by county that showed an America so red it looked to be on fire. Shockingly, California was just about as red as Texas, their blue counties mirrored Texas' (homes to Liberal enclaves, cities and Mexican borders). I received the following in an email the day after opening shop. It comes from a lovely couple from the bluest of blue areas in Washington state and is proof that sanity can survive in the most insane places. Thank you for the send. :-D

Election Resultas Are In:

Marijuana legalized,
Gay marriage institutionalized,
Christians criticized,
Healthcare socialized,
National debt super-sized,
Founding Fathers demoralized,
The future compromised,
America desensitized;
Abortion justified,
Liberals satisfied,
I am mystified,
Conservatives are petrified.

Note:
As a Libertarian, some of this I agree with, some I don't. I am a small-government, fiscally conservative, socially "meh" kind of girl. I really don't think it's government's business to legislate OR fund morality or immorality. I couldn't care less who you love/marry/sleep with, as long as you don't force your values on me or force me to pay for your personal choices. Liberty is Liberty, Freedom is Freedom.

Mondays ROCK!

Not really, but what're ya gonna do?

Mid-day International Music Festival, starting off with my favorite Canadian Band, The Trews with The Power of Positive Drinking and Poor Old Lonesome Hearted Me...

And jetting off to Europe and Germany, with Boss Hoss and Word Up (seriously, you gotta love a German Country Western band singing an American 80s funk song.)

And finally to the Land Down Under for a group I just discovered this weekend, Jet with Blackhearts (on Fire).

Enjoy! And lighten up, it's just another Monday...

III Arms Range Day!!!!

Holy Guacamole, Dudes and Dudettes! Just read about the III Arms Range Day this weekend at Tango Down Range in Hedgesville, WV. I have been promised my own Range Day at my local range and can NOT freaking wait to get my purty little hands on these weapons.  Hee hee hee, sorry for the girly giggle, but I can't help it...

Oh Such a Pretty Girl!

Go check out what they did to put these guns to the test:

Welcoming Wes and Ammo.net

I got the sweetest email from Wes at Ammo.net last night asking to link him here. After much thoughtful consideration (about 5 minutes of squealing in delight), I said sure, no problem, got your back. Why is this such a big deal for me? Because I am now included in the ranks of such serious bloggers as FreeNorthCarolina, Knuckledraggin, and MissK. I mean, I'm runnin' with the big dogs now! Yea l'il ole me!

I have had some discussions with wirecutter about Ammo.net and have no qualms whatsoever about linking to them. Watched the video, checked out their charity link (got to love them for that alone), and happily put their link on the left below People Who Make Me Think*.

Welcome to my little neck of the woods, Wes. Make yourself at home. And y'all go check 'em out. All those guns you have won't go BANG without the ammo, you know.

*Okay, I'll add him as soon as I figure out how, fucking technology... grrrr...

An Outstanding Idea! Grand's View

The absolute BEST thing about blogging is meeting the people who follow you, whom you follow. We tend to become a pretty tight knit family. And when you see someone you like rethink things and reactivate his blog, you just gotta grin. So welcome back Grand (you've seen him both here and over at MissK's), blog on!

Posting is going to be light for a while...

Well, I've checked my schedule, Thursday being Thanksgiving, and there is no way around it, I'm going to be chained to the stove for most of this week. I hate that I started this blog during an awkward time, but it is what it is. I'll try to post things of interest here and there and let y'all know I love you.

How Fucked Up Are You Tonight?

A Reading Test....

Good Lord, I love messing with y'all!

A late night, making it up to you treat:

Texas Has More than 100K signatures..

The Texas petition states: “Given that the state of Texas maintains a balanced budget and is the 15th largest economy in the world, it is practically feasible for Texas to withdraw from the Union, and to do so would protect its citizens' standard of living and re-secure their rights and liberties in accordance with the original ideas and beliefs of our Founding Fathers which are no longer being reflected by the federal government.”
