I loved this almost as much as jumping from the swings at the apex.
One sprained wrist, several knocks on the noggin, and I knocked my front tooth out.
That was just second grade.

going down the slide standing up never worked out real good, and the jungle gym, trying to get the girls to go to the top while I stood below, always a thrill till they caught on. Daryl

I guess they can't be called "monkey bars" anymore.
I miss the old days when all the outdoor gym equipment was anchored to asphalt to cushion the falls.
I actually plan to build this same contraption in my yard for my girls this spring ... because I am evil.
I had/have a fear of heights, so i just stuck with no pads, no helmet, sandlot football....
