Donuts, cookies, cupcakes (mini cakes, so they must be better for you than cakes, right?) are being replaced in my diet by more fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds. Found this graphic, extolling the virtues of fruit in a healthy diet. As I was reading through it, all I could think is "rum, tequila, ice, blender". Now I'm going to find a graphic extolling the virtues of rum and tequila.

I hear rum and cream of coconut with some pineapple juice is real good for you if you put it in a blender with some ice and puree.Sounds healthy too me.
Reading that chart might make me eat healthier too...can they be deep fried in transfat?
How about good old Southern fried pies?
How come it doesn't mention okra?
Okra isn't a fruit, darlin', and it doesn't go well with either rum or tequila. However, I will admit to a fried okra addiction. I made a mess of fried okra for lunch today and by the time I had it all cooked, the bowl had about 20 okras left in it.
I had a big ol' plate full for dinner earlier in the week.
Okra is too a fruit. Same family as a tomato.
Okay, how's this, pickled okra and tequila shots?
Here we go the okras are fruits argument I need popcorn
stevierayv, this is nothing compared to his "the bubblewand is a condom on a stick" argument.

Really? I did not know that. I think I need a big mess of deep fried fruit.
Fried dryed apple pies or dryed apple stack cake!!! That's old time southern. Pussers Royal Navy Rum, Not as strong as bat vodka( Bicardi) but much more flavor----Ray
It's true, man, I read it on the internet or in the newspaper or something.
Miss Lisa fried me up a bunch of it for dinner last week. No meat, no other vegetables, just fried okra.
It was great.
Do or do not. There is no try.
Just remember, Angel: chocolate is a vegetable. That's my story, anyway.
I didn't need popcorn after all
