Attack of the Killer Tomatoes

That's half of tonight's haul. I have twice that in the fridge, and 3 times that on the vine ripening. I've already put up 8 quarts of maters. I have maters coming out my ass. I sell them at the Farmer's Market. I give them to friends and family. I took two bags to Dr. Janet yesterday. Oh yeah, I got maters.

The rest of the garden was "meh" this year. Got enough beans, squash, okra, spinach, peppers and beets for several quarts of each, enough to last the winter. The cucumbers just punked out on us. I think last year we had record numbers, and this year we had three. I think we had such weird weather that the growing seasons were just off. I really need to get my greenhouse back up and going.

Slice 'em up and dry some of them. Crunchy tomatoes are awesome.

Such lovely tomatoes they are. And the ones on the vine aren't bad either!

Those are lovely! Our cucs didn't turn out for shit either this year, neither did our squash. I think it was too wet and the root rot got a hold of them. The maters did okay but we didn't even grow in our raised bed, we used 5 gallon buckets and t-posts so we could move them. And you are right, the Texas weather was very weird this year. The weather pattern reminds me of the years that Rita and Ike hit down here on the gulf coast. Es no bueno por caca. The last thing I need is another hurricane.
