Rights are rights

However you feel about the gay/lesbian/transgender lifestyle, they are people and more importantly, they are Americans. They have the inalienable rights to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. And specifically, the right to self-defense. Second Amendment rights to bear arms. See that bit about right to Life.

After the massacre in Orlando, instead of condemnation of a lifestyle that many Conservative gun owners don't agree with, gun owners are volunteering in droves to help teach LGBT people how to shoot, carrying the range and ammo costs, going so far as helping them get their carry licenses.

So how about it, love for a fellow American, even if you don't approve of their lifestyle? Teach someone to defend themselves, support the Second Amendment, and bitchslap a Muslim.

I've taken a few training classes. I know there are folks who have taken many more, and some who have taken fewer.

I've never taken a class where sexuality or gender meant anything at all. Nobody was ever questioned. No body was ever inspected. No one was ever shunned.

It seems to me the gun community has always been accepting of gays, transgender people or which ever branch of LGBTQ someone claims. It simply doesn't matter.

It's merely an illustration of longstanding facts.

Conservatives don't care about your sex, sexuality, or ethnicity.

Liberals hate women, gays, and blacks, and just want to use them as vote slaves.

When gay marriage was legalized last year, it was a sign from the Democrat party that the LGBT community had outlived their usefulness. They fulfilled their contract.

I'm on that map. They're not looking for someone with NRA-instructor license, SEAL-level experience, or shoots like Jerry Miculek. They're just looking for people who understand the 4 Rules, have access to firearms, and have a willingness to introduce new shooters to the two. I will also include a recommendation, if they want to continue shooting, to seek out further training.

And yes, for the record, I'm Christian. I don't support the lifestyle, I support the people.
