What an utterly charming, bodaciously built American icon. There's a wonderful story HERE with even more beautiful illustration. Duane Bryers, the artist, was truly talented.

How can you NOT love Hilda? There's a girl a fellow could spend some time with.
Bryers must have had a vision of Angel, since she's too young to have modeled for this character...
I loved Hilda so much as a child that I grew up and married a girl very much like her. Still Married 27 years later so I must have got it right. ---Ray
