Ayo Kimathi. I'm not stunned, not even mildly shocked. I'm not angered that my tax money is paying his salary, or that his federal job is basically arming the government gun pointed at us. I'm resolved.
WASHINGTON (AP) — A Homeland Security employee is the operator of a racist website predicting and advocating a race war, a department official said Thursday.
Ayo Kimathi, who is an acquisitions officer for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, operates the site, War on the Horizon, which includes descriptions of an ‘‘unavoidable, inevitable clash with the white race.’’ Kimathi is black.
The DHS official spoke on the condition of anonymity because the official was not authorized to discuss the case publicly.
While many of the postings on Kimathi’s site are inflammatory, it was not immediately clear whether they cross the legal threshold into unprotected hate speech, and the posts may not violate DHS policies if he does not curate the website at work or espouse the ideologies in the office.
Kimathi, who identifies himself online using a pseudonym, did not respond to phone calls and emails from The Associated Press to his home and office. According to the ICE acquisitions website, Kimathi is a small business specialist responsible for purchasing handcuffs, guns and other law enforcement equipment and services.

If a white person were saying these things about black people, law enforcement would come down on his head like a sack of hammers. Sounds like it should be considered unprotected hate speech to me.
I was brought up believing that racism was intolerable and that everyone had value. The more I see of the cases like Chris Lane, Delbert Benton, and the behaviour of idiots who believe in Saint Trayvon Martin, the less I'm inclined to think that way. This does not bode well.
Heisenbug, you're half right. Racism IS intolerable. We should not tolerate it.
Some peoples' only value, however, is to serve as an example of what not to do, and it's important to correctly identify racism.
Identifying an individual in a crowd as black is not racist, because it is one of the more visible descriptive characteristics.
What this guy is doing is racist and disgusting and he should be fired from the DHS for it.
The only people who aren't racist are whites who are afraid of being called names. The term racist and the concept of racism was invented by Trotsky in order to demonize and attack people opposed to communism.
Really the scariest part of that article was this sentence: "the legal threshold into unprotected hate speech". We don't have "hate speech" laws in the United States, yet.
We have the 1st Amendment that protects his speech, no matter how vile. I don't like what he has to say, but I will defend his right to say it. If the government starts deciding what is hate speech and what is not, we will be in for a long hard ride.
Liberals, when the shit starts, are going to learn two hard lessons. First, the lesson of collateral damage and second, the lesson of unintended consequences.
