That's how I grew up. Yeah, I'm in my early 50's now.

Joined the military, got married, made a daughter, went to the desert, saw shit that no person should have to see,...and now...I'm the bad guy and there are a bunch of nancies who are afraid of words!?

Fuck 'em.

Life is hard. It's even harder if you're stupid.

Of course it could also be:
"When I was your age, I was in Vietnam." or
"When I was your age, I invaded Iraq." or
"When I was your age, I was in Afghanistan."

Never forget, WWII was not the only war.
