If you don't mind a female's perspective -- it looks good. Be thankful you have the curly locks - as you age, it will straighten out and thin! Invest in good shampoo, conditioner and a styling gel/mousse and you'll have women hating you because your hair looks so good!
Thanks Cheryl, I'm checking out some color-friendly curl-loving products. And my stylist recommended just plain coconut oil. I'm gonna smell like a pina colada.
A friend of my MIL gave me this book about curly hair care. I use the Beleive in and Angel products from this line, and use tressume shampoo and conditioner. It has done wonders for my hair. Orbitup used to complain about the frizz in my hair, but now he loves it. No more frizz. It's all about moisture.
Aw, hey Texas T! Ornery orbitup belongs to you? Heh. Good luck, girl. thanks for the hair tips; I have used Tresemme before and liked it. I'll check out those products this week before I make a decision on a perm or not.

Mine gets wild when it gets long. once it reaches about six inches it curls up.
Curly hair looks good. Straight hair tends to poke me in the eyes.
